How to change desktop color with windowblinds installed

I cannot seem to change the wallpaper color with windowblinds installed. It shows the change but reverts back to a steel grey color on reboot

I have chosen not to apply the wallpaper that comes with a windowblinds theme as i want to display a centered picture of my sister against a pink background. I choose the color of the desktop but on reboot the color is gone (and replaced by a steel blue gray color) but the image wallpaper centered is there

Uninstalling windowblinds solves the problem thereby proving that its got to do with WB

Any workaround?

Open the skin in skin studio, go to misc > colors > edit the background - desktop.

desktop color themes are set by the skin

Can't remember if the lastest ver of WB has a color override option (not at home)

if not:

I think there is a free version of SkinStudio (very limited) but may have the necessary option as noted by Bebi Bulma.

There is also the trial version

There is also the option of paint. create a pic the color you want and set it as the background - no worries

The free version of SKS isn't "very" limited, you just can't have multiple skins open at the same time and edit them.

And I stand corrected.
