After about 25 games, my computer refuses to go on

reason Windows stop error (XP says it is probably file igxpdx32.dll)

This is a moment of desperation.
After playing about 25 games - the computer now refuses to start a game. After the initial load process, it crashes after less then 10 seconds, shortly showing a blue screen that mentions a file igxdx32.dll that may be the cause (the exact text is in German I'm afraid).
I use XP prof 2.
It can't be the settings because I'm currently trying to play a minimalistic tiny map with just 1 opponent and few planets and suns and so on - which is nothing compared to the small and medium games I enjoyed in the past few months. Plus I've turned of the fancy graphics.
I use a Lenovo Thinkpad 60e - just tried to download the latest drivers Lenovo offered and the latest DirextX - no use.
Would it help to reinstall DA. Is it the German version of DA.
It does not seem to be linked to the CTRL bug because I played a great game after avoiding to press that and before trouble struck.

God (i.e. Kryo) or whoever, please help!

DL seems to be working though

The dll is a part of Intel's video drivers; a BSOD naming it could indicate a problem with the driver itself, or an overheat/failure in the video chip or memory.

If DL is working, you may try running DA with the 'enhanced ship rendering' option disabled.
