I cannot find the WB 6 beta. . . HELP

I have just (re)subscribed for the sole purpose of getting the new Windowblind 6 beta. However, I have no idea how to procure the elusive little guy, i.e. the download. . . Should i have access to it through SDC? How do i get it???? How? HOW? . . . I stink with the sweat of desperation. . . I stink. . . please . . . help.

Yes, you'll need to have an active ODNT subscription and you have to access it through SDC. Load up SDC, enter your registration information, and the WB6 beta will be listed in the ObjectDesktop section.

You will also need the latest version of Star Dock Central and have (Show pre-release versions) checked to see WindowBlinds 6 Beta.

thanks for the reply. . . but, I still can't get it to show up on SDC. I got a new subscripton, Wincustomize Subscription is what it says on the confirmation email. Is that what I needed? I've tried everything and the SDC registration window--where you can register all your stuff--won't take the new number as Object Desktop subscription. Are they two separate things???????????

No...a Wincustomize subscription is not the same as the ObjectDesktop subscription. You need to be an ODNT subscriber to access the betas.

i do have object desktop, but i am confused. . . do i have to buy the software again. I mean, how do i subscribe? that is what i was trying to do when i go the WC subsc.

ObjectDesktop <--that's what you need a subscription for in order to access program betas. Are you sure that's what you have? If so, locate the email you got when you purchased it, and go into SDC, Tools > Register Products > ObjectDesktop > ObjectDesktop Subscription > and enter the email you used to purchase it and the serial you received.

Then as Murex said, make sure you have the latest version of SDC installed and check show pre-releases in the settings.

TLK1969: Your Object Desktop subscription expired earlier this year. If your sole intent in purchasing the WinCustomize subscription was to obtain the WindowBlinds 6 Beta, I would suggest contacting sales@stardock.com to do an exchange for an Object Desktop renewal [34.95] instead.

Only users with an active Object Desktop subscription will have access to the WindowBlinds 6 Beta. So in other words, when your subscription runs out, you are entitled to the latest versions of the software when your subscription was still active.

Please be aware that we keep archives of only release applications, so if your subscription runs out while an application is in pre-release (Beta), you will want to keep a backup of that yourself.

I checked your Stardock.net account and your Object Desktop subscription expired in March. You will have to purchase a renewal, which is 34.95, since you are a previous subscriber.

I cannot find WB 6 either...

My Object Desktop registration expires in May 2008

"Show pre-release versions" is ticked

I've refreshed the XML data....

Still not showing up...
