icon position

This may be a picky request, but I was wondering why the icon positions on the non-tabbed dock aren't completely centered on the background. They seem to be positioned slightly toward the docked edge. So I've noticed that on some of my full size icons, they look like they go slightly off the edge of the objectdock background which doesn't always look the greatest. I didn't see any way to adjust it unless I missed something. Thanks.

Happens on mine too.. no matter how you design a dock the icons wont vertically center.. always too high. Is there a fix for this?

Yeah, I've found a solution but mine was for tiles specifically. For tabs, you could mess with the .ini files and play with the ContentBuffer (Top or Bottom) = function. Just add 1 unit till you get what yer looking for. That should help.

Is ContentBuffer only for tabbed docks? I'm using a non-tabbed dock (positioned at the top) and couldn't find it in any of my .ini files. I played around with background.ini and was able to take off a line or two from the bottom, but I wasn't able to find a way to move the icons down vertically.

Sorry, I blanked right over the fact that you said non-tabbed. Content buffer and outside borders can be used on tabbed and non-tabbed. Your .ini file might not have it but it can be added. What dock are you using?

Do you mean what version of ObjectDock? It's ObjectDock Plus version 1.50. I still haven't figuring out how to move the icons down but I did remove the border for the top which makes it look better. So I think this should be ok. Thanks a lot for the information about the .ini files.

I actually meant what dock, the name of it. Since you got it dialed in though, no worries. By the way, playing with the .ini file makes you a member of the dark side of ObjectDock, those Jedi's who don't get much recognition cause we get buried by all the 'icons on steroids' as a friend of mine says. You won't be able to stop now. That's how I started, messing with the .ini's. With some serious helpings from my pal WebGizmo's, i've uploaded a few decent docks...carry on.
