Question from Impatient Preorder Person

I preordered the Gold edition since I did not have DL either.
I only discovered the game two days ago in a Joystiq article, and I stupidly did not think to buy DL and preorder DA only.

I am wondering if the Gold preorder people will still have to wait until the 17th?
If not, any chance of telling us the new date?

The only reason I ask is that right now you can buy both right now without any prior commitment.
It stings a little to preorder and wait in line behind people just walking up now.

Ultimately I blame this on Civ4, if I was not so addicted I might of looked up a long time a go and saw GalCivII earlier.

You actually go the cheaper deal (by a lot). Had you bought them seperately you would be paying about $20 more (plus extra shiping and handleing if you got the cd's). I'm not sure about stardocks policy on the matter, but I think you took the best route for someone in your posistion.

You should know better than replying to a whiny git...

Don't want to sound flippant, but the money is not any issue for me and the fact that I am buying StarDock and not sharing it with EB games, all the better.
(I went download, with no copy protection it is the superior choice).

It is cheaper then any game I might buy for the PC or any of my consoles, even at the dearest it is great value and cheaper than what I payed for MOO3 which appears to be inferior. I have no problem paying what the game is worth, I just hate paying for price for the piece of excrement.

But you are right the money it is the one positive, and so some it is probably the most important one. But I like to whine...

What can I say, for a poor college student like myself $20 is a lot (it's a week's worth of food if I want to eat good, 3 if I don't!). Did you get an e-mail with a serial number in it? If so, then you can begin downloading now. Also, the realease date is on the 14th.
