Elections

Well, disclaimer: i dont know if you want this on the board, feel free to delete if nescessary, I'm not going to go fishing around for rules.

so, Democrats win by a majority in the house (#$%*&) and a tie in senate (#$%*& x2)
unfortunately, the way I see it this means a tumbling for our economy.
I personally believe Republicans make a much better Majority leader, with Democrats nipping at their heels with a slim majority, this allows for growth of the economy (which the Democrats.... well.... dont understand, to say the least) but diminishes the effects of corruption (which we know Republicans got down pat).

Personally I'm a Libertarian, diminish government overall (usually means growth of the economy, especially in a modernized superpower, but also provides more personal/civil freedoms)
well anyway, discuss.

See with all the other laws that come into coflict with the Right to Protest law its hard to tell whose right and wrong these days. I mean technically the city could say that since the protesting was happening on say a road, then they had the right to use force to stop disturbance on Government property. Same with a bunch of things and it matters what they were protesting, in some cases protesting, going on strike, or demostration is completly illegal.

see, thats oppressive. as far as I'm concerned protests should only be stopped if the public welfare (i.e. health or safety) is in jeoperdy or private property is being destroyed

The Government rarely impliments those laws in such a manner only if heavy property damage occurs do they risk causing a riot by bringing police out onto the streets to stop the demonstration. I was just saying that they could do that and not really have a reason for it just because it is their property, thankfully government isnt that corrupt yet.

parts of it may seem wacko at first, but the sources are all legit. so just give it a chance.

i watched the whole thing, it's really quite wonderfull. follows money changers from the famous standoff with jesus in the temples to modern times. but you go ahead and make meaningless posts in a thread devoted to politics. so much easier to turn a blind eye, eh?

That guy gestures with his pen too much.

Very interesting though. I have a friend (family friend, real old guy) who firmly believes that an organization called the Illuminati control the world's money. I always though he was nuts but after seeing that I still think he's nuts but maybe not as far off-base as I had previously thought.

I didnt turn a blind eye i turned a bored eye and instead decided to do something more constructive like watching paint dry or trying to teach my dog Spanish, or i dont know enjoying life...

In all seriousness... i WILL watch it one day but not today, i mean 2 hours!?! Maybe when im not swamped with life then ill give it a shot. I mean your other post seemed very well educated and informative so i have to trust some of what you say. As for the Illuminati, no one is sure its just like the Masons i mean can you really trust an orginization that says that their only reason for being secretive is because of tradition. Something had to start the tradition.
