Question Regarding Highlighting Characteristics with WB skins

I was wondering if the color of highlighted text can be changed. For example in the WB LightBlue II skin the color is a sort of slate-grey-aqua. This same color occures in many apps (like Word documents, My Computer, mouse-over of shortcuts in Start Menu, etc.) Can it be modified independent of the skins color scheme? (e.g. lighten it or change to another color altogether?)

An example here of highlighting in a Wordpad document with the LighBlue II skin:

Example of highlighting in a Wordpad document with the default of Windows XP (medium blue color):

I was also wondering what the exact term is for this feature. Is it properly referred to as 'highlighting characteristics' or is there a more exact or specific 'coder' term?

Thanks for listening,
Dan

[A totally unrelated question: regarding the Preview tab when composing a post: clicking on this displays an empty black box. What's up with that? Is this a feature still under development or is my previewer behaving oddly?]

Yes, you can change the "highlight" color easily using Skin Studio.

Open Skin Studio and load the skin you would like to work with and:

1. On the left, expand "Miscellaneous".
2. Click on "Colors"
3. On the far right, expand "Selections"
4. Click on "Text highlighted"
5. Change the color to one of your choice.
6. Save the change(s) by either clicking the "Save" icon on the Toolbar or click, "File/Save".
7. Reload the skin to view your changes.

Thanks for your reply Hapkido. I got stuck on step 3 though. I don't see the "Selections" as a choice on the far right.

screenshot below:

Didn't see it under "More options for selected attributes" in the far right section either .

On the left, under Miscellaneous, you have to CLICK on "Colors". That will display the attributes for "Colors" on the right. Then you will see "Selections".

The way I do it is to just click on the Classic Colors preview in the center where it displays a sample of the skin. Then just click anywhere on the sample and it will show all the options to the right.
