There is a discount for people that bought the original version but no freebies this round.

I believe Stardock did not sell the original which is why there is no discount.

You mean all those who have already bought once Logika suite have to buy it again to get an update ?

As far as i can see Logika 2007 suite, apart for a new tiny IconPackage, some updates in WindowsBlinds, is something's wich was originally done, copyrighted and sold by/to Pixtudio ... (i know i already bought it ... )

Exemple for the WindowBlinds:

Original one:

SkinName=Logika
SkinAuthor=Pixtudio
AuthorEmail=info@pixtudio.com
Generator=Stardock SkinStudio ver 3.9.2, Build 699 - http://www.skinstudio.net
EditorNotes=This skin is copyrighted to Pixtudio http://www.pixtudio.com. Please contact author before modifying this skin for any purpose
WBVer=400
AuthorsURL=http://www.pixtudio.com/
SIG=SK-9b189001

Stardock's one:

SkinName=Logika
SkinAuthor=Pixtudio
AuthorEmail=info@pixtudio.com
Generator=Stardock SkinStudio Professional ver 5.0.1, Build 1112 - http://www.skinstudio.net
EditorNotes=This skin is copyrighted.
WBVer=500
AuthorsURL=http://www.pixtudio.com/
SIG=SK-9b189001

That's a very "fair" and "commercial" purpose by Stardock to sell a second time to nearlly the same price as the original an update to the customers who already got the suite ...

Keep on that way men you're brilliant

I bought both versions. Like everyone, I like a little cut-rate when I can get it, but I'm not complaining. The new version is quality work, worth paying for, in my opinion.

I'm guessing you didn't buy the Universe Metal update either.

UniverseMetal got an update? When did this happen?

The problem is that we weren't involved on the original Logika. That was through Pixtudio.

It's not a problem It's an update. Folks just have to deal with it.

I bought both. Don't know what the problem is. Bought the first to help support the best skinner of all time, and the second for the icons. I recolored them and used them on another skin. Icons alone where worth the price. But then I usually pay more than seven dollars for lunch. I do understand that to a lot of people that's a lot of money. But come on, if it is, ???

"New" Universe Metal '2004'.

You know I'm not having any problems with all of this - if it is for sale...
You can buy it or not
Thats not a problem!

I would like to encourage the great artist to do more updates with the newer programs.
Not discourage them...

I hope things settle down to a more relaxed state and the artist do things more than before.

Just my opinion - hope I'm going the right direction here...

geez - guess i gotta buy all my pixtudio skins again

I believe this is the case.

I know I purchased some of the originals:

Logika
PixOS
Pixxy
Abracadabra

I have not been able to download the new Abracadabra or any of the others with my download key - although, I still need to e-mail Pixtudio to verify that I have to purchase the updated version.

The new "Logika", which I purchased, is an excellent update and well worth 8 or 9 dollars (US).

For my part, the transparency in the taskbar and titlebars has become boring. So I have reverted to WindowBlinds 4.6, for which there are many great skins that seem to have small issues running under WindowBlinds 5 unless they were updated.

IMHO, this is better value for my money (you need to either be an Object Desktop subscriber or have made an archive) because I really think that many of the artists (some have moved on) made some fantastic skins for WB versions 4.5 - 4.6.

I just hope that the "Vista Compatible" version of WindowBlinds has the option to apply skins without transparency, as I believe this would be a welcome option to many users.

If you don't like it, no one would force you to ... so don't buy it.
