Planetary bonuses - economy?

I've been playing this game for quite a while now, and I've realized that I've never seen a planetary bonus that directly affects economy. I've seen research, population, influence, manufacturing and morale bonuses, but have never seen an economy bonus on planet. Now you could argue that the food bonuses affect economy by increasing population, and therefore your tax base, but that is an indirect effect. If it's not in the game, maybe it's something we can add to the wish list.

Like a pirate cache? Deposit of ore that's used in minting money? A galactic mud bath & spa resort perfect for setting up a trade center?

I can't think of how you'd describe this tile that magically .. er .. scientifically .. would grant an innate bonus to economy.

Sounds likea great way to describe a scientific reason for an economic increase. If you really wanted to make it fair, I suppose it would also need say: 50% to economy or 20% to manufacturing as ore is ore and useful in many applications.

Sounds like an interesting idea. And it could drastically change strategies since if you have an economy boost tile, you won't need as many farms to have the same tax income, so you won't have to have as many morale boosters, so you can put more economic buildings thus enhancing your economy even more than just the tile bonus. I love it.

Erm.. that's a good way to describe it? We have lots of paper, that doesn't mean our economy gets a boost from just printing money.

The tourist idea more fits with something that spreads influence. Natural features that encourage trade and economic growth in the real world don't translate real well into this game. An example would be a river, rivers provide better access to trade and that's one the main reason's cities were always founded near them - and grew best near them. Natural trade bonuses tend to be simply places that make transportation easier/cheaper. You don't really get something like that for a spacefaring race in the same sense. At best if the game had stable wormholes or something you could have whole planets that constitute a trade bonus, but not an individual planet tile.

A high population money planet loaded with stock market centers won't need many virtuality reality centers because of the moral from the many stock market centers. Economic, morale, and influence boost, I love those stock market centers!

Actually, I was thinking of something more along the lines of a useable commodity like oil, for example, or something like a machine left behind by the precursors that makes a high powered fuel source for ships. I mean, you've got things like mineral deposits for manufacturing bonuses, and natural springs for morale bonuses. There must be some kind of natural phenomena that could create an economy bonus. Maybe ore used to make hulls or precious gems.
