I had the same issue. I resolved it by archiving the app then installing instead of downloading then installing. So in your Stardock Central app right click IP and select archive app then install it using restore archive from the File menu.

IP is working for you and vista 32 ?

As far as I'm aware the version of IP which will work with Vista, won't be released until Vista is finished

Until we release updates that have Vista support listed in their features (like DX 3.2, which has the beginnings of Vista support added), it's all "Use at your own risk" when it comes to loading up under Windows Vista (any build).

Remember that the OS is still in beta, with it only recently reaching a point remotely stable enough for developers to start coding and testing their apps against.

i know yeah but i just want to test a version of IP on this RC1, so is there any IP that i can test actually please ?

The pb i have on my RC1 is that i ve tried the last 3.1 IP and it hasn't worked when i ve tried to apply an IP theme. But now i can't go back and i don't know to retreive all my normal windows icons :-/ i have many icons bugs . It's why i am looking for an IP working version to go back to something correct.

No version will work on Vista (yet). Use at your own risk means exactly that...

ok i found the way to use it .
I first extract all ICL icons with microangelo 6 library to have .ico files. so i have all .ip & icl icons files then i can changes the windows default icons from iconpackager since it's the only icons with IP i can change
