GC2Launch.exe crashes, but game seems to run OK

For some reason, I can't run GC2Launch.exe
When I try, I get a "gc2launch.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created." window popping up.
Finally managed to track down where the log was created.
