Thanks,  I don't klnow what happened to my post above.  I had a couple paragraphs, but only the sig showed up.

I had tried to run it under my wife's login but it said that a core dll file was missing and that I should reinstall.  I did that from her login and it said she didn't have admin privilages to run that program.  She has an admin account though.  I tried it again and it installed but I get the same error message about a missing core dll file.

I guess I can try reinstalling it again.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the link.  Those things didn't help.  I have it uninstalled for now, but I would like to find a solution.

paid version?
downloading and installing as standalone or via SDC (the browser)?
I downloded and installed the demo.  I then uninstalled (or so I thought) it and installed the paid version.  I didn't try the other login on the demo version since I liked it right away.  I may have had trouble by selecting the windows default theme in the demo before running the install program for the paid version.  Since then I have unloaded, uninstalled, deleted folder, and reinstalled with the same results.

BTW, I don't know what you mean as standalone VS SDC.  I'll have to look into that.

Standalone - followed a link, downloaded and installed via normal browser

SDC - StarDock Central = browser/downloader/updater/etc = you show as a current customer, so I'm now guessing you have and used the SDC browser, yes?

If you didn't download SDC, you can get it here: Link

No, I have not used SDC.  I am downloading it now.  Thank you.

Last night I unloaded, uninstalled, rebooted, removed the folders, regedit and removed all instances of windowblinds and stardock except for the bootskin references from the registry.  I reinstalled the program and have the same problem.

Will installing the SDC help fix the path issue?

Interestingly, I installed the SDC and went to check the wife's login for the fix and I still get the same issues though SDC runs from here login without issues save for one.

When I click the registration tab and enter my serial number for windowblinds and press update, it says the serial number is invalid for this product.    It is the same number I have used over and over trying to troubleshoot this, but when I use it from her login it is invalid.

With the program path set correctly shouldn't it find the proper file that it needs to verify the product serial number?  How can I download a new file to install in case I have a corupted file?

are you installing then registering WB via WB splash/popup/whatever it's called?

is so...
try registering through SDC...prior to installing - if you bought separate components then register separately - if you bought the ODNT package, just register that - you can get to the register through the botton right corner of SDC (registration info - just click it) or through 'tools'

When I installed (ODNT) I didn't have to register on my wifes login, just mine.

OK, I can unistall and try it again with the SDC.  I don't know that I had to register with my wife's login.  I just noticed that when I ran SDC from her login the registration info wasn't there.  I hadn't entered it when I installed SDC because I was hoping it would prompt me for the information once it was installed and that it might undo whatever registration issues may have been present in her login.

When I installed SDC I already had windowblinds installed.

Should I unistall both, then install SDC and then install windowblinds but not enter the registration info until I reboot and do so in SDC?

Thanks a bunch for the help.

unistall everything, install SDC, register through SDC, use SDC to install the others

might work

Thanks for the help.  I uninstalled everything, rebooted, removed old directories, installed SDC and let it download and install WindowBlinds 5 and then I registered WB5 in the SDC console.  I ran it and setup my desktop then went to try it on the wifes with the same "missing core DLL file" message.

I would uninstall it and attempt to get my money back but I love this StealthOS theme.  Very frustrating.

Thanks for your help though.
