Spam increase after installation

Myself and the 2 other people using this computer have found that after installing various Stardock applications (namely ObjectDock, WindowBlinds, and LogonStudio), our amount of spam emails has gone up 10-15 emails a day, and they aren't even really for anything. We have not installed anything since those three programs and have not signed up for anything other than these forums. Anybody else had the same thing happen to them, or know a half decent plug in for thunderbird or outlook that would block these emails?

Wouldn't it be easier to set your mail at your ISP (or wherever your mail is)?  I have all my mail addresses set that way.  If the sender isn't in my address book - off to the spam folder - then I use my mail client to only pull in from my inbox.  Which seems to work for 3 out of 4 accounts.

I have purchased several Stardock products and have never received any unusual spam as a result, nor have I heard of anyone else with that issue.

It may be that you had a spy bot on your system prior to the installation of Stardock products...try using Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy to remove such software and set your email accounts as Bichur suggested to stop spam reaching your inbox.
