My skin doesnt show up......*n00bish i think*

hello...my problem with the program is that after i install it,i try to make my skin appear and when i click in "Apply Changes",it changes to classic skin (that happens with every skin i try)..i think the problem is because at the "skins" window,instead of the bar showing up,it says "Shareware : per pixel is disabled"...how can i fix that please???

The shareware version of WB applies per-pixel acceleration only to the skins that installed with the program. If you downloaded additional skins with per-pixel graphics, they won't work unless you purchase WB. You can use the shareware with downloaded skins that do not require per-pixel acceleration.

2. Open WindowBlinds Configuration from your system tray. On the list at the left side of the window, click System Information. When the info appears, highlight & right click to copy. Paste the information here in the forum...

yes they worked once,and then one day i unistaled it cause i had to,installed again and it was okay...but then when i restarted my PC,they got screwed again...oh and here are the info u asked

the shareware only works for 60 days...uninstall - reinstall won't make it work longer

Was that 57 left from the date of the first install...or do you mean you had only used it for 3 days...then was hoping to re-install quite some time later on?...

It might Aimzzz...I'm not sure...can't find the post about the uninstall/reinstall... it was Neil I believe that posted that...don't seem to recall him mentioning whether WB counts previous days or not upon reinstall...it may just be able to tell it was there and assumes someone is reinstalling to try for another 60 days.

no need to yell mr quack...your post did not mention how long you had it running prior to the uninstall/reinstall. I only mentioned it because I have already seen quite a few posts about the trial not working correctly after a reinstall and it turns out the time limit had passed. A lot of people thought the WB5 trial would be like previous versions that would allow a reinstall or some earlier versions that never stopped working so people would keep it even though the features were severely limited. I've already seen several posts of people trying to find 3.5 again since they lost it when they uninstalled it to try WB5.

dude,all i did was uninstall and reinstall FOR MY OWN REASONS...not because i wanted + time.....i just did it CAUSE I NEEDED TO.....and then it says "Shareware : per pixel is disabled" at the skin edit screen...now can somebody PLEASE help me

Try use in skin studio: menu tools - windows blinds - normalize image filenames. After normalize files try apply skin.

My understanding of the "apply changes" button is to apply changes to the present skin. Did you try the "apply this skin now" button???you may have to do a fresh install of wb5 it should re-install and pick up where you left off. If you had 57 days left, then it should restart at 57 days left.

Apply changes does the same as Apply this skin now. It applies any changes made to settings which includes selecting another skin.
