Game idea for Galciv

A good follow up game to Galciv would be a single player game very similar to Star Control 2. Like a Space Opera game using the story following the campaign.

Yellow Sign, i'm just stating that a space opera type game similar in style to Star Control 2 or Starflight would make a good game using the Gal Civ universe. What is wrong with that?

Imagine, instead of controlling a whole galaxy, your thrust in a situation where you only command a ship or fleet of ships. You travel to the different world and make alliances and get ships to add to your fleet. Throughout all this, you try to solve the mystery of the Ancients while fighting off the Dregin Empire with your sole fleet.

If you finish the campaign mode, this would be a great follow up which would be a great lead into GalCiv III.

I hear what your saying, and that sounds like a fun idea. A tactical space combat game based on the GalCiv universe and building upon the 3D engine they have already built would be a blast. Don't know about a space opera though, never played any star controls.

Habadacus, Star Control 2 is the best of the series.. The first one was just a strategy game. And third one was a cheap imation of the second one. The Second game is a free and legal download here http://sc2.sourceforge.net
