Gamelist in SDC is empy, so I can't update anything or play anything

I started up SDC to download the final updates for galciv2, but the gamelist section is completely empty (and I have galciv1 installed). There's not even any demos listed. I then tried to update galciv2 using the update dialog I got with the partial download. A lot of net activity happened, but there was no feedback as to what was happening. When it finally finshed the gamelist was still empty, and galciv2 still only runs the update dialog.

I haven't a clue what is going on.

Restarting SDC fixed it for another person. Post back if you're still running into trouble.

I've restarted SDC several times: same blank games area. I've also tried refleshing, changing the server from US-Chicago to US-4 to US-California, and nothing affects it. Everything else is populated, although when I try to examine available discussion threads, nothing comes up either.

Do youhave an archive for Galciv2 as backup?

If so restore it and see if this helps.

No archive for galciv2, sorry. I haven't even got the full game yet, so why archive?

Good news of sorts. I solved this problem by completely wiping out SDC and reinstalling. There's clearly a bug still hanging around someplace, but I'm by it.
