Getting the jump on the preloading

I figure we might as well get a jump on all the complaints...

Not fair! I was going to post that!

Legal did ask me not to make a post entitled "We should get a class action lawsuit going against these guys!"

They felt that the CEO of the company suggesting that people sue the company might not be considered a good idea.

lmao! I love Stardock. I love Frogboy, too. In a friendly, non-threatening way, that is. I can't wait to play the release version of GalCivII!

Hehe. I love you guys. If anyone does file a class action law suit filed against you, I will volunteer my time pro bono to help with the defense (provided I pass the bar this summer and all that).

That right there sums up why I like Stardock so much.

Heh; I love this place. Brad and Stardock simply rule.

I gotta jump into the bandwagon also, StarDock really is THE best developer out there!

Not only you guys support your games to the fullest but you also have good interaction with the community. As a long term Rome Total War fan I have maybe seen 1-2 times a developer writing something in forums. Keep it up StarDock

Yeah Brad.. I've got to give ya props. Very funny.. very very funny.

I figure his tactic is to spoil us so much before release that we won't have anything bad to say once the game comes out...

Carielf is the smart one, she is the brains behind the scenes, she is the godess of the eternal smile, the wind that touches the petals of the roses early in the morning, the fire that ..............................feeds the Drengins furnaces

So to you Carielf, this small poem

Roses are red
Chocolates are good, Carielf is the best
and Brad so do you.

*Grumble grumble* things are kinda not going perfectly *grumble grumble* I'll express my anger on the forums! that'll show'm BWHAHA

*logs on forums* hey wait .... they are making fun .... of themselves?? They can't do that can they?? Isn't it a law that they lock all negative posts and push them down to page 12312? Something is wrong here, I better read more of this forum.

WTF they listen to customers?!? Where are the pissy devs making fun of players while they own them with overpowered shamans and nerf all anything players find fun?? They DON'T have copy write software .... did I hit my head on the way to the forums or something? I must be having a nice dream.

Of course this game is doomed. Look at everythign it has going against it.

1. Not an FPS game. Think of all the twitch gamers out there who are being deprived of thier FPS clones! sure.. sure.. there are a billion FPS games.. and they all are the same thing.. but thats what consumers want! We dont want to think!

2. Not an RTS. What WERE they thinking? If its not RTS its going to be bad. ok.. MOO, CIv... and a few other small games were Turn based but I dismiss them out of hand as being for those "fringe" gamers...how will I show off my Micro!

3. FREE STUFF? Ok, now here is where they lose thier sanity! If gamers are not bieng bled dry of thier hard earned cash then we are not happy. My god! We might be able to buy food this week as we dont have to pay for patches disquised as upgrades!

4. Real News! Wow.. this has just burst my bubble... I had this impression that game developers sat in thier ivory towers and were not normal guys trying to get by. I mean, what the heck? Im not used to actually knowing whats going on! I want to go back to feeling like they are doing me a favor by releasing a statement that a statement will be made in the future.

5. Download of game to my PC. This was the last straw for me. If I can not walk into six different stores only to find out that they dont have it yet or are sold out, I have way too much free time on my hands. My goodness, I might actualy be able to play the game on the day its released!

Yes I'm fuming. A company that actually cares about it's customers, intelligent electronic distribution, etc. I can't believe the pure GALL of you guys that you actually have sys-admins that have some modicrum of intelligent design, and had the absolute audacity of setting up the system to not have a release crash of the servers by allowing your user base to download early.

Oh yes this company is done. How can you expect to compete with all the incompetence out there? I mean cmon, you're actually communicating directly with your clients!! The horror! You're not following the standard practices of the industry and as such, you're hopelessly screwed.

(oh and for those of you who have a faulty sarcasm module, yes this post is tongue in cheek)

I just know you guys (the devs) are about to get hit by a class action lawsuit filed by the big corps and their puppet devs ... for creating a hostile work enviroment and unfair business practices. Sheesh, actualy communicating with common sense, information AND a sense of humor ... the nerve of some people!

I think legal departments should cut a little slack for companies if their CEO has a name like 'Frogboy'...

It's baaack! Well it is release day. I'd bet anything that the exact case is the opposite. It's not doomed but really really successful.
