I just want to thank all of you that spent time on this trying to find a fix...I appreciate the effort. I have no knowledge of coding so it will be easier for me to just delete my work but I wanted to thank you all. :)
Wait. You are not owed a weather widget with code. We gave it out so that coders could learn. Now we can't. It's not a choice.
Why doesnt this surprize me ? I'm sure you all knew about this and decided to do nothing. Now you can sell more matching Themes etc . None of us are needed here anymore so I'll just delete my Widgets myself. I have been here for years and you can say this is not a Stardock problem and that might be so but as a so called ' Community ' y
We are discussing the proper way to go about this, which will be announced soon. However, we will have to respect the TOS of the feeds as we would want the same courtesy in a similar situation.
Which is why I will continue to wait...I don't mind redoing tons of Widgets but I want to do once...
I suggest making this an unlocked object.
Yeah, you read my mind....I was thinking that if I had to add a ' piece ' to an existing widget I'd just make it an invisibl

Although I have no clue about why you decided to leave I can pretty much deduce the reasons. Sometimes its just time to move on. I wish you the best Craig, I had the pleasure of making several skins for your Windowblinds. It was my pleasure...

You have always been a consistent contributor to WC Mary Jane. I know how much time and effort you have always put into all your skins and you have always done this silently without fanfare. You deserve to be " Queen For The Day " today :)
Sorry for the late reply........It would be great if they got the importing to work, but I still enjoy skinning it, so I hope they also address some of it's limitations too.
I'm like you Fred, I'd much rather use a skin I have made or one that was skinned...thats why I didn't care that the importing skin feature stopped working. Although I have not had RC crash like it used to in a long time. Once in a while a sub-menu just disappears for no reason. But thats a far cry
I agree Karen, once You become an RC user You can't go back! and hopefully since You gave up expecting an update, that means We'll be seeing one soon, because things usually happen when You least expect them!
If they update RC it most likely will only be to fix the importing of windowblind skins....which was kinda the whole point of the program. Its supposed to be self-skinning. Thank God for the RC skin library.
If that is how people see the site, then that is all it will ever be.
Sometimes you just have to sit back and accept things...you know the reality of the situation. The powers that be are the one that decide. You have been here longer...you know it will never be the way it once was. I remember when it was hard to log on in the mornings because their was so much traffic. You had to wait until half went to work to get a ' seat ' I'm still here but I know that one little v
There's always a choice, you may not always like the alternatives though. "Just a website" empowers you with the choice to visit or not visit. I avoid visiting alot of websites because I don't like how they are managed, even if there are things of interest to me there. It's my way of protesting. Every hit on a site is a form of encouragement. If the number of hits go down they either need to do something or will see their site slowly fade away. Everyone should do that imho.

but it needs major updating
I gave up expecting any major update on RC. Its too bad though...for those of us that use this program its become a ' must have ' When my object desktop ran out I didnt bother renewing for another year at the time. I knew I was going to be changing to another computer in the near future. After I set up the new computer I had lost all my Object Desktop programs and I tried to live without them . That lasted about 2 weeks. I could not survive w

Thanks for the info...thats why I still use the older version of Rainlendar...just easier to skin. Then still work in Rainy 2 but the buttons/arrows don't show up. Rainlendar kinda died out a bit and Widgets seemed more popular...but I still like to use Rainlendar to remind me of appointments.
It would appear that at least the personal gallery has now been updated
Not mine - the download counts have not updated in almost 2 weeks. As of last night now the ' new comments ' no longer show up. But the new uploads are back on the personal site.
