I was at first, too, Seymour...but the fact that msn posted a follow up article on it lends it credibility, I feel. Jill, that's the court system for ya. Don't get me started on class action lawsuits...
Unfairman
Yes, I agree Fawn. She's underground sensation with a pop following...truly amazing. I've always love soft, soulful jazz. To see it take a new rise in popularity warms my heart. P.S. Norah, if you're out there, gimme a call sometime ;)
Imajinit, it is rolling.
My friend (let's call her Flabby) just sent me a burned copy of the new Norah Jones cd. Currently, I'm listening to song number two, so I haven't gotten all the way through it, but...damn. It looks as though her sophomore effort is every bit as her first. This young woman has in droves what most of the young music performers today don't even understand the meaning of: dignity. Here is a young woma
Sir Peter - BAM!!! I missed the train to clueville years and years ago. P.S. BAM!!! also, BAM!!!
Hey Jill, I found this link on MSN. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4428563/ It's about the story. Chris
So, basically, all these things I've said about SuspeckTed were in front of his back...I see. Perhaps this is really a commentary on society though...bear with me. If someone says something "behind your back" (traditional sense) there's a pretty good chance that you'll hear it from your coworker, friend, _____. So, they may as well say it "behind your back" (SuspeckTed sense), because you're going to ehar it anyway.
haha...Dan...now you're just being anatagonistic. I think I like it.
Muggaz, I'm not exactly sure what the "BAM!!!" was for. Normally, one would say "BAM!!!" after having effectually bitchslapped someone during an argument, but that didn't really happen here.
It's true. Everyone needs to feel this way at some point...I truly believe that. Too many people define who they are by what group the belong to...I'm guilty. I think we need really DECIDE who we are first, though, before we join our groups. That's kinda fuzzy: here's what I mean. You are not your clothes. You are not your hair. You are not your friends. You are not your eduaction. You are YOU. By feeling like you don't belong, but U
This may show how ingnorant I am, but what exactly does it mean to get your face ruined? I need to try to keep up with the slang now that I'm out of college.
Hmm, it seems people around here have broken their sense of humor/sarcasm. To me, it's pretty obvious that this is sarcastic. "In order to evenly distribute genes among the population, this community will regulate a pattern whence all males will be required to have sexual communion once every three years, no less and no more. For some of us, this means having intercourse less, but for others it means having it much much more!" (sorry for the h
I am master of the run on, pointless paragraph!
I took a spur of the moment trip to Duluth yesterday. My friend TJ was like "Hey, I'm off till Thursday" and I was like "Yeah, me too" and he was like "Well, let's go to Duluth" and I was like "Yeah, okay." Duluth is where I went to college, and it's where most of my friends still live. It's about an hour and half drive from where I live now, so it's close enough where I can go visit my friends, which is cool. Anyway, I was under the
haha...Head, that was awesome. I'm going to jump aboard here and say that vaginas are awesome. I don't know a single straight man (and maybe I just don't know enough men) that doesn't love vaginas. They're warm, furry and don't get in the way nearly as much as penises do. What a perfect piece of genitalia. And I'm all about women finding and exploring their sexuality as much as we men. And if you have to think of this way, guys...if wo
I like kids...for supper! Mwahahahaha!
Ooh! A plug! Now I owe him $13.86.
My mom went shopping the other day, and she decided to buy me some new work shirts. My work shirts have to be white, button down, collared shirts that would work with ties. She came home with more shirts than I really need, including one Tommy Hilfiger shirt that she bought "on sale". The "sale" price was 30.00, marked down from 50.00, and the tag said XL. Any two of the other shirts she bought p
haha...Ted, I can't even convince myself to make the 3 mile bike ride into my job...goodonya! I remember the summer I spent as a Summer RA, Heather Schwartz was in Duluth and she used to ride her bike to and from work everyday. For those of you who have never been to Duluth...I don't think there's a place with more steep hills this side of the Rockies. She lived about midway down The Hill, and so going TO work wouldn't have been so bad...but I
Thanks, Fawn. Of course, we are our own worst critics, and I still don't feel this is up to snuff. Maybe I'll just stick to prose :)
Ted, being an avid reader of your rhymes in a past life, I know how to read them, and I thought this was one of your tops. Pretend it's a rap. That'll help it flow.
Your whole article is what is referred to, by those who dissect arguments, as a "slippery slope". It's instantly negates your argument as far as validity goes, and also...it's stupid. Liberals are not trying to bring people to the lowest common denominator, only a foolish mind really believes that. Liberals just want people to quit being greedy, act like decent human beings, and maybe help people who are less fortunate than they. Grow up.</fon
not for shame, for hits! :)
I went to work today, like I usually do when I'm scheduled to be there. And, as usual, it was a usual day. The thing about working and living in a small town is that people you don't recollect ever seeing in your entire life know who you are. I was bagging a woman's groceries, and she said to me "Your mom was just at my house. She said that if I say you that I should tell you hi." I had NO idea who this woman was. My mom is
Ted, I'm sorry to say, pretty ladies don't really exist in Cook. They're more like myths...I tell stories about them, but no one actually believes me.
