I was thinking about all the friends I remember from here and how nice the people at Stardock are and thought I really should drop in and say hello... and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (while I'm at it). Hope everyone is doing at least reasonably well I am. Missed you all and wish you the very best! -- David

It's winter right now isn't it? While we're sweltering you're shivering...
David- you can do the IP3 install and then run regsvr32 /u and it will work fine..... ok great! thanks... I'll do that. nice to see you too yrag and thanks again Lantec!
btw - it's kind of sad that I had a much nicer looking desktop and no problems with my computer before coming back here and updating my OD apps. Now I've uninstalled everything and I'm wishing I could get my old versions back... the only thing left on my desktop is a wallpaper and my Cursor... I miss WB and all the other stuff! but first I need to get some work done.
THANK YOU!!! I uninstalled IP3 and Corel worked. I just tried your reg hack yrag and it said the module could not be found so I guess the uninstall got rid of it. I had a major problem yesterday when I updated all my Stardock apps and it loaded Enhanced Dialog. I almost did a format and reinstall for that one. In fact, I almost did today too. I just lost 4 hours trying to get CorelDraw to work, I wish I had thought of asking here first. <
cool! thanks! I'll just uninstall it and see if that helps
I mean now my edit is there... I guess I can't edit these comments. Corel is not working!! damn... I need to do something in it. any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
oh... now it's there...
hmmm... wonder what happened to the edit I did. This line "It shows up in task manager as running but it does not show up." should read It shows up in task manager but not on the desktop nor in the taskbar.
Corel Draw will not appear on my screen. It shows up in task manager as running but it does not show up on the desktop nor in the taskbar. I tried repairing the installation first, that did nothing, then tried uninstalling and reinstalling, then tried the same thing with removing all the registry entries. I recently installed all the latest Windows updates so I uninstalled all of those, no luck. I turned off all the Stardock stuff that was running, that didn't help. P
Thinking about moving somewhere cooler. Me too, been talking about moving to Canada for about a year but now I'm thinking of Buenos Aires... definitely cooler.
Hiya Brainiac! you still in Texas? That state must be as crowded as Australia with skinners. Shotgun - you know us now... group hug is exactly what it is
DOREEN! CHINA!! I'm so glad you're here too! What a treat to get to say hi to both of you again, it's been so long Hiya Pat! nice work on the site, very impressive, if anyone should kick back and put their feet up it's you. Sleeping Dragon it's nice to meet you! I see you keep good company too <img src
She would have posted but shes visiting her mom in W. Texas Don't you mean her WOM? Wise Old Mother...
wow! thanks for the link - Those look awesome! I need to spend some time with them later, we have company coming for dinner tonight and they should be here any minute, my wife is yelling that I need to put some coffee on. The fish photos look really interesting and the reflections on the windows of the convention center. You have a good eye. I need to share some photos with you too, I got a digital camera a while back, It's a Canon SLR so it uses the same lenses as my pro cameras.
don't get me started... LOL
I'm glad I missed this one... I lived through the XP and OSX introductions. The first I heard of Vista was yesterday (and I'm already tired of it LOL)
I may drop in now ocasionally, I apreciate your support, but I think I would still have to avoid politics. I have no tolerance anymore for the cowardice of those who support treason for their own comfort. I'll stay out of the political discussions or else I'll have to leave again. I was kind of hoping the ditto heads had either left or grown brains...
I think I fixed it... jeesh, that was terrible! I went into the folder for OD and found there was a settings.exe for enhanced dialog in its folder. It opened a dialog box so I unchecked everything and rebooted and then I could get Stardock Central to start so I uninstalled everything except WB IP and WinFX. Now everything seems to be working again... that was scary...
HELP!!! I just updated my OD apps and now my computer isn't letting me do anything! What happened? No app runs when I try to start it from the link in the start menu. Zone Alarm doesn't load on startup anymore and won't run if I manually try to start it. The screen won't refresh! This is awful! eek... I finally got IE to open this site but it isn't working either, I
