[quote who="AlLanMandragoran" reply="52" id="3332711"] Benjamin Franklin once said there's 3 certain things in life: death, taxes, and Steam debates. They pop up at the oddest times. When his kite was struck by lightning, some random dude mentioned to Ben that 's just like steam - it's shockingly dangerous. Some other random dude said thats a bunch of British East India Company bologna and Steam kisses babies and solves world hunger. I don't know what to believe anymore.

[quote who="jmccrea" reply="45" id="3332670"] My dislike of steam is that at times I have to be online to play games. Yes I know there is an offline mode, and I use that for when im out in BFE drilling for oil, but at ttimes Steam has caused me no end of trouble. However, it also runs pretty slick when its working. I think the fact that you have to use something other than just buying it from Stardock and DL'ing from them, is the reason peps get upset. Steam

I really love the way Stardock is supporting those who bought into this game early. It's truly fantastic. But... I now have Galactic Civilizations I and Galactic Civilizations II and all expansions for both, bought from Stardock that now require me have Gamstop's PC app. I have Sins of the Solar Empre and all expansions, bought from Stardock that now requires Gamestop's app for the earlier stuff and Steam for the most recent expansion. And now I hav

Reply to SotS in Stardock Games

Are there any plans to introduce such support? I've also bought SotS at retail. I guess I wasn't fully aware of the first/third party divide. I was thinking that SotS would work just the same as GalCiv 1 & 2 and Sins, which I also picked up at my local game store.
