Thanks for the response. 1. Note that OD also doesn't notify for non-UAC events, ie where an app would flash its icon on the task bar, OD does not reflect that. 2. OD doesn't show soffice.exe, and clicking on soffice.bin will not bring it to the front. I consider this a failing - probably in Open Office, but it would be nice if OD could work around it. On a lesser note, a suitable icon is not being shown. - Fred
I've just upgraded to Object Dock 2 and it looks pretty good, barring some problems I've highlighted in another post. However I think the mechanism for deciding what system tray icons are shown is the wrong way round. I would prefer that one chooses icons to hide , not show, so that any previously unseen notification icons or new apps get shown. I.e. the default should be to show icons, not hide them. I've encountered a couple of problems with ObjectDock 2 when the Windows task bar is hidden and replaced by OD2. 1. When UAC wants to attact my attention, and the Windows taskbar is hidden, OD2 does not flash or even show the UAC icon. This means I don't notice, and whatever app needs attention is stalled.
