I purchase OD previously (1 year subscription) Right now there is a 60% off a new OD purchase, so buying it new would be $19.99 vs renewing at $29.99. Basically my question is whether buying it new ads another Object Desktop serial number to my account.
Hi all, I have an expired OD license and was wondering if it's possible to purchase a new subscription to OD (cheaper with a sale) rather than renewing. If it is, does my account just add another subscription license or does my existing license get updated? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Neil, I tried using Metropolis and Eros skins, the hidden icons arrow is invisible on both. Of the skins that came preinstalled with Tiles only the Extra Large Tiles Mode skin has this issue as well.
Ok then, let me ask you this. I'm using the show system tray icons option but the arrow that shows hidden icons is invisible on most of the skins except the default ones that came with Tiles. It's because if I hover over that area it shows me a tooltip and then I can click on it. Anyone else experience that?

Hi guys, just purchased a couple of themes that apply a black font color to the desktop shortcuts which doesn't work so nice against my (mostly) dark wallpapers. I haven't been able to determine which option to edit in SkinStudio, any ideas? I guess I could also go individually through all of the options under Change system colors...
Zubaz, I uninstalled and used the manual download from my account, same exact thing happens. Stardock Central reports both DeskScapes 3 and 8 have been installed with the version numbers I gave above, then asks to update DeskScapes 8, then tells me to uninstall everything before installing DeskScapes 8! So this is clearly a Stardock Central issue. I'm curious, can I install and use DeskScapes 8 or is it not compatible with Windows 7 at all?
Email sent. I also noticed that SC installs DeskScapes 3 version 3.50.000 and DeskScapes 8 version 3.50.040 right alongside. Then it prompts me to update DeskScapes 8 to version 8 and sure enough, tells me to uninstall the previous DeskScapes version before installing version 8.
I'm using Windows 7 and Stardock Central, made sure to only select DeskScapes 3 but it seems that 8 was also installed along with 3. Is that supposed to happen? And why are there two versions to install and only one program installed?
Contemplating installing version 4.00 of Theme Manager... is that the latest? And is it still broken?
I figured it out, the task bar must be hidden through Tiles, NOT ObjectDock, that fixed pretty much everything, although I am getting a few Explorer crashes trying to access the WiFi settings or Volume...
I just fired up Tiles with all the feature enabled. While it shows all of the system tray icons correctly, only the volume and power management ones work, and the menus for those pop-up at the top right corner of my screen. My task bar is hidden and I'm also using ObjectDock and some Windows gadgets/DesktopX widgets. Could any of these be interfering? Thanks.

Ok, deleting the skin's XP substyles in SkinStudio presented another problem, I'm guessing because the skin was created originally for XP and Vista/7 substyles were added later. WindowBlinds seemed to have trouble displaying the skin with the correct substyles at first. It still shows the XP preview image and icon on the first substyle even though it's been deleted...
I see using a different start menu doesn't work that well, the taskbar font gets all messed up, and highlighting in the start menu can get weird. Wish there was a tab under WindowBlinds Settings or something that would deal with it, at least an option for the different start menu to use its skin's properties.
Actually I was liking the wacky results, I started playing around with them... I also had a question regarding the "use the taskbar and start menu from a different skin" function. It seems to only list the first substyle in each category. Unfortunately most of my skins start with their XP substyle... Is there a way to choose? I guess I can edit the skin, move the substyles in a different order and save... any other way? Thanks guys.
I'm using LogonStudio in Windows 7 and it works just fine, except for one thing: it won't add any additional screens. It loads a few default ones and won't add anything else. I noticed in the DefaultLogons folder there are over 100 screens, it won't even load all of those. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks.
I have to edit the start buttons in such a way that it matches the width and height of most startbutton.tga files I've seen... otherwise I'm getting the wackiest results ever [e digicons]:omg:[/e] The pictures I get to work with are vertical too. Thanks for all the input guys.
