Will there be special notifications at the end of the game or by submitting to metaverse, even when I´ve eventually won (or maybe score reduced etc...) ?
I don't think so. But you can submit the same game only twice to the metaverse.
Still not understood. Does that mean I have only to fight once, but against their combined defense power
Yes, you don't fight for a planet but for all colonized planets in the whole system. And I think I have read too fast: I have read "unhabited" instead of "inhabited". Not quite the same meaning :)
when moving my transport to another system I invade their system = all inhabited planets
Nope, only habited planet. SOrry, I wasn't enough clear.
that means there are not systems inhabited by more than one race !?!
In galciv I, system are owned by only one race. So yo better need to grab system first, and colonize planets in your system after :)
But I thought building colony ships is only suitable for colonizing uncolonized planets, and when one plans to "transfer" population you have to build transports. True ?
Not quite. Colony ship is a one shot ship used to move an unlimited amount between a system and a planet (you must target a planet) not owned by an other race Transport are reusable ships that allow you to move a limited number of people betwen a system and another , owned by any race (including your) <br

Don't forget that AI don't act the same on the various intellligence settings: a dumb AI will always stay a dumb AI. You won't see maso AI on cakewalk settings :)

but from my understanding you may have issues with your system, fuxd. It's not so much your CPU as your built-in video card. GalCiv 2 makes full use of DirectX 9.0c, which it sounds like your card may not handle (specifically I'm worried about it not dealing with the new TrueType fonts used in-game). I am exactly on the
really did not expect that, as I thought of language probs or no one who´s interested for a 2 years old game with it´s successor in preparation
Well, language isn't really a problem. And I think I am correctly placed for this: I am french, living in France :) And a "bit inactive forum" doesn't equal to "nobody lurking" :)
Playing Version 1.20, already in turn Nr. 2 I could figure out the starting sectors of the all the major civs WITHOUT cheating or disclosuring the map before. I don´t want to tell exactly how I did that but it should be too obvious...
Using the F8 key?
Has this bug been fixed with AP or later versions ?
Not sure if it is considered as a bug.
But may I continue to ask: - Can I go with treasury until -500 cash without losing morale ?
You surely can, but there are annoying side effects: - a negative treasure mens that you wont able to rushbuy near complet social project: when 1 social BC is missing, you need just to spend 8 BC from your treasury to complete it - as soon as your treasury go beyond -500 BC, all project are stopped. This can be nasty if an alien come and ask to you to give them BC or die.<br
Meanwhile I learnt 100% doubles the population growth, which determines at the beginning whether to sustain or decease, at least in higher difficulties. Me thinks to take care of the lest moral planets and keep it at 54% in the later game stages is enough, since it keeps population growth running.
well, this thread http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GS&id=155077 and especially post #15 have some informations about the combination of morale, pop growth bonus and population s
I still get 'They think we're practically gods', which I'm pretty sure is because I go heavy with diplomacy picks.
Your are right. There is only one level higher in diplomacy: the jedi mind trick :) If you want negative evaluation, start a game without taking any diplomacy picks, and don't research tech that give diplo bonus (you still need universal translator tech to be able to speak with them) You can check their diplomacy bonus if you have invested enough

and in what way is it economically, in what way does it make sense? Easy: it could be summarize as treasury management. Since you don't know how long the development will take, what what will be the overall cost, you need to ensure that: - preorder won't be cancelled (I assume that preorder will be charged when the gam

The diplomatic evaluation explain you if your are at advantage or at disadvantage on the bargain table. It is based on the diplomatic bonus of each side. The bonus depends of AI setting (more intelligent AI have greater bonus), the political party, the picks choosen, the bonus associated with some trade goods as well as tech that improve diplomacy. BTW, have you watched the color of the proposed bargain to know if it will be accepted or not? [Message Edited]

Thinking about the tile system. A bit more complexity can be added and make each world a Simcity game. Expand the number of tiles and require residential tiles to be near but not too near the industrial tiles to provide jobs to produce shields. Well, titles in Galciv correspond to HUGE perimeters for their inhabitants: th
