You have to register for a party so that you can vote for party primaries. The candidates are close in many ways, but if there's a strike, a Republican will try to break it and a Democrat will support it. Only a Democrat could have done welfare reform. Only a Republican could have opened relations with China. The fact that the parties are close together is good. Extreme swings create an even more divided country. The problem is the apathy of those who don't vote but complain that nothing cha

Actually there are some people who are just the opposite. They hate change. They go to the same church all of their life, they live in the house they were born in andhave the same friends their whole life. I'm not exactly like you--but I do like change. However, I have lived in the same house for fifteen years and been married to the same husband for twenty five years. I've gone to several different churches--but I'm going to try to stick with the present church. I've d
Ah, so you do have a name. This is well thought out. I don't totally agree with it. In the Christian religion there is a debate between Calvinism which says that we gave up our freedom when Adam sinned and Arminianism, which states that we can say yes or not to God. Neither philosophy considers that we have a lot of freedom. Just try to break a bad habit. Some are easy, others are almost impossible. Keep on writing about freedom. It is an interesting topic.
Children are expensive, but if you don't dress them in fashionable clothes, buy expensive toys and give them their own bedroom at first, they are affordable. Love and attention is what children really need. So if your bloke agrees, go ahead and have a baby. As for a wedding, why does it have to be expensive. Just make it fun.
P.S. You have got to be intelligent and sensitive to even ask these questions. Most people don't.
It takes years to really know who you are usually. There are those people who know exactly what they want and go for it. But most of us have to figure it out along the way. Sometimes our biggest liabilities become our greatest strengths, because through them we become approachable. The only way that you are going to figure out who you are is by trying different things out and seeing if they fit. It's just like going to a foreign country where the
Cute baby. Check out the prices of other types of shelves they may be cheaper and steadier. I wish I could do all of my reorganizing in one weekend.
I guess I'm skeptical as to how much of a threat terrorism is. What you advocate sounds too much like a police state. I agree that we should find alternatives to oil. All of your other proposals seem to be far ahead of their time and would have no chance in passing.
How long do you think you'll be on the diet? I did it for two weeks and then switched to the South Beach diet. It isn't too bad if you like salad and vegetables. Believe it or not meat and cheese get boring.
I think most of us procratinate on repetitive tasks that get undone easily. I also think the perfectionism is part of the culprit for most of us. What works is to do a little bit everyday--no matter what
Bush wanted war with Iraq and would have invented anything to go to war with Iraq. He made the decision before he was elected.
who knows, she might enjoy the fact that you are writing about her.
Wow! I'm impressed.
I brought up my eighty nine year old mother as an example. My family does take care of her. We don't expect others to care for her--but it is outrageous the cost of medicines in the United States. However, my brother also takes care of his mother in law, and my husband and I have two daughters with a chronic illness. Fortunately we have good jobs and are not unemployed. But no one is self-sufficient. Even Bill Gates is dependent on having good quality employees. Saying you are self-suffic
You definitely need to change your name for this one. You are a person of great insight and integrity. I have discovered that if you ask the clerk to pronounce their name and tell them that is a pretty name, they always smile. The others enjoy you using their name when you speak to them.
Very funny.
As I see it, there is no consensus as to what is right and what is wrong, this is not because of other religions, but because of no religion. On the other hand the original value system was founded on racisim and putting women in their place. I wouldn't want to go back there. Although the division between Republicans and Democrats has lessened, there still are great divisions between liberals and conservatives, rich and poor, east and west, north and south. If we could build a value system

See my article on being a doormat. I have problems with caring, too. It takes practice and maturity. My rule of thumb is don't do anything for someone else, that they can do for themselves. On the other hand, you can do little acts of kindness, like giving compliments, saying please and thank you, hugs, etc. There are several times of love. One is when your love is reciprocated and it is mutual. The other kind is unreciprocated love. If the person you love is a man or woman that you'd li
I think that this discussion is so ironic. It usually is the Republicans who prop up dictators and the Democrats who topple them. I think in the case of Saddam that Bush wanted him out because he wanted to finish what his father started but didn't finish. Although quick elections may not insure a lasting democracy, I doubt if a long occupation by the United States and Britain will be any more effective. Occupations rarely work, with the exception o
My parents had their house paid for and a reasonable pension, when they retired. My mother did not expect to live until she is eighty nine. Why shouldn't those of us who are well off help out our elders. Her generation fought in World War II and made tremendous sacrifices for our freedom. As for being overtaxed, our country has one of the least amount of taxes for an industrialized nation. As for domestic spending, much of the cost is for the anti-terrorism measures and fighting two wars at
Eventually this credit based society will fall down. When the credit card debt climbs, so do bankruptcies, which hurt the banks and demand that bankruptcies, be limited. Just because the crisis is delayed doesn't mean that it won't come.
I was a bit confused at first at what your point is. Now that I understand that you are speaking of health care--I agree completely. There are quite a few people who cannot afford health care. This includes those with insurance who don't have adequate coverage. See my article, ttp://sherye-hanson.joeuser.com/index.asp?AID=5235
I don't think I'd be calm about such a thing. I wonder who it is when someone gets up in the night. Do look into it, ghost stories are interesting as long as they are about other people's houses.
There does seem to be in all fields a group of people who follow the letter of a rule, but misunderstand the spirit of the law. Then there are those who actually think and respond accordingly. When it comes to discipline in school, I found a lot of teachers, school counselors and principals who allowed bullies to reign on the playground and punished those who complained. However, there are wonderful teachers and principals, but they get burned out.
