Neil--thanks for your suggestion. After posting my request, I uninstalled and reinstalled Start11. This removed all of the dead shortcuts from the right-hand part of Start, but left them in the alphabetic list on the left. When I did as you suggested, I was able to delete some of the ones from the left-hand list. However, several dead shortcuts remain--but that's OK, I don't use the list very often.

1. Disconnected from OneDrive (ended subscription to Office365) 2. Uninstalled OneDrive from the computer (PC, Windows 11) 3. All my shortcuts in Start11 failed. (I expected this) 4.
