What should I Do... either: buy a paid version or choose yes when it asks to restore defaults, then uninstall it and forget about it.

Do you have anything else like Spybot that has those option to keep your registry or homepage, etc., from being changed or hijacked? Does AVG have script blocking? Also, if you had it before and the trial ran out and you're trying to reinstall in order to keep using it, it won't let you.
I will post this link I don't think that would be an option - posting that would allow anybody who hasn't bought it to get it. It needs to be made available via SDC with a resume.
script blocking and firewall can screw with some of SD's products.
When you download the programs via SDC, they get downloaded and installed and will be in their respective stardock folders. if you have a program installed, you can right click it in SDC and archive - SDC - the archive copy will be in the backup folder in the stardock central folder. when click a program in SDC, you don't have to click install..you can right click and choose download and archive. leechget stated that d/load stardock.com does not support resume download... hadn't thought about that.. I believe it's supported on regular skin, IP, etc., downloads. I use it when I want to download a large iconpackage and want to go to bed - it will disconnect and shutdown computer when done. and I liked the older leechget better - t
If you didn't set it up, and you have no idea who did.... how did you know the password to login?
Have you tried using something like Leechget?

take your downloaded backgrounds and ions (everything that didn't come 'originally') if they're in there, and put them in a safe place 1st
What Z said (had to step away whilst I was posting)
I haven't seen a way yet, but... Some of the dock & icon creators include a blank png larger than 256 - If you take the blank png, then then put yours in it - it will give a tranparent edge around it, giving more 'space'
There seems to be another post witha somewhat similar issue: OD crashes

If you disable docklets, does it help?

Sysinfo (from the WB config)? on the left in WB configuration, copy/paste to here the page that shows up. I haven't seen any issues with Gimp 2.2.
don't know if this has any bearing: do you have a firewall, if so OD allowed access? (this may only effect the weather docklet) do you have script blocking? (don't know it it would have any effect) do you have OD installed to it's default path or other?
but how does it work if it doesn't patch the Windows XP kernel ? 11 herbs and spices
What do you mean by drag the cursor into the box?
not quite sure what you meant by... "Do you have 'show welcome' (or equivalent - no screensaver allowed where I am) indicted in the screensaver tab in properties (right click desktop) That means at home - I don't have any of the accounts password protected - & when I go to the screen saver tab (after right clicking desktop > properties) I get an
