wow!! this forum gives me no help at all. I thinking... only because this: Buy the full version or uninstall. might have been written in haste. For the trial in which 60 days from any previous install of a trial has passed: The answer is uninstall and then either buy it or live without it. Reason being... if you buy it, you still need to uninstall the trial (and reboot) in or

did you archive the running version, move archive to new and then use SDC to restore archive?
okay... maybe... just maybe... a while back I had issues because of no xml data when trying install updates - I had SDC set to autoarchive the old then download/install the new. Didn't work for me - xml data errors abounded. so, what I ended up doing was to no worry about losing the version copy I currently had installed and: right click an app in SDC and choose to download straight to archive. once it's done, for any apps already up and running = set skin to defa
Anyway, here's the big "THANK YOU" to 'Lady Bebi Bulma' and to 'Bichur' You're welcome. Hope it's all working for you now. I REALLY appreciate your taking the time to help a novice solve her problem. You make being a member of a Forum a rewarding experience. ah crap.... not so loud lady... I don't want to lose my Troll standing. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/sd_com/smiles/Wink.gif" border=
try disabling all the docklets - see if it still crashes - if not, then it's probably a docklet if it's a docklet, you'll have to track it down by removing them, then putting them back one at a time and testing been using the freeloader version since 2003 - hadn't had a crash on mouseover in about 2 yrs - when it did it was a docklet
try #187 on the right
try reinstalling SDC over itself
Try reinstalling IconPackager or Try reinstalling SDC (Stardock Central) over itself
Did it occur to anyone, that Larry here may be talking about another company and just forgot to put the link in the post? Granted... but which other company would fit in the category of "Stardock Support > Object Desktop > Windowblinds"? That probably isn't the case, but give him the benefit of the doubt until it is clarified. I'll compromise with doubtful benefit. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/
Where's the proof?
ah crap - standalones don't have an end date - you can use them forever. It's subs that have an end date. you could alway send an email to support or sales, see if they have the info.
I archived 5 - then downloaded 6 straight to archive - then set WB to windows default, unistalled 5, robooted. Restored 6 archive, rebooted.
over at WC in the settings tab (I think it's settings - no access to WC from here) - above your name when signed in - from there you can get to a registrations tab that will list your registrations and when they expire.
Maybe if you get Stardock Central and put in your serial it will show up in the list. Stardock Central is also excellent for archiving backups
well crap, now I need another pirate flag just for ODock
I think the last thing I read was if you bought the latest WB in Feb or later you get 6 If your ODNT sub is current there should be no probs
did you download as a standalone or did you enter your serial in SDC and use that to download/install?
It's Monday and I've still no reply from stardock 'tho. Neil is from Stardock (reply #19)
are you installing WB6 via SDC browser? and yes, you have to uninstall 5 in order to install 6 beta
have to try mine again when I get home. but then, I run the free - don't have an systry icon to turn off and never had issue with minimized representation except earlier with FF (had to use ODock to min)
Each category of skins (Windowblinds, Object Dock, DesktopX, etc) needs the relevent program to use. Hence the relevent program site link at the top of each gallery. But I figured out now after a bit of thinking that what I am downloading are in essence skins for the mainprogram "Object Dock" and that they themselves aren't independent programs needing Object Dock to run. yep - skins
on the sometimes - just particular apps? browsers?
Since OD isn't part of ODNT, I'm not sure if you have to have an ODNT sub in order to get OD+ betas.... I think it's the same as with WB - only ODNT subscriber get betas
