I keep getting notices to upgrade to 4.21 even though it's been several days since I have done that and am using 4.21. And I've rebooted a few times since then. Note that this is happening only on my Windows 11 laptop. I'm not seeing this on my Windows 10 laptop.

As of v4.17's release, the first two items (the first of which I reported) appeared fixed for me. Thanks!
My software update monitor app (SUMo) was showing this new version. Thanks for letting us know there's no reason to install.
Thanks for confirming! We are looking into the issue, for the time being, in theory the legacy menu is still there, it the "show more options" selection at the bottom of the current context menu.
Indeed it is still there, but that extra mouse click to get there gets *really* annoying quickly.
If it is just the context menu not working, are you running Windows 11 and changed your context menus to use the old legacy style? If so, for testing purposes change it back to the Windows 11 style menus.
Yes - this is where the issue is. It hadn't dawned on me that using the legacy menu would make a difference there. Hopefully, Fences can be made to work with the legacy menu as it gives me much faster access to the
Update: We believe we have found the cause of the issue. Please install this build and report if it resolves it for you: https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/Fences4_4.1.1.0-j110-Setup.exe
Still can't load Fences configuration from the context menu in Windows 11. I sent debug info by e-mail yesterday.
I sent you a PM on here yesterday, please check it out
As I've never received a PM here before yours, my eyes didn't catch it. I will see what I can do to assist.
Interestingly, Fences configuration DOES load when I click on Stardock/Fences in the Start11 (Windows 10 style) menu. In fact, it loads rather zippily. It just doesn't load in the contextual sense I was accustomed to (Right-click on Desktop/View/Configure Fences). I sincerely apologize if I didn't make this clear before.
Exact same issue as before, with configuration not opening in Windows 11. It opens in Windows 10 fine. Windows 11 Home 22H2 Build 22621.1344
The custom taskbar background I had set up is now back, so that's good news! Thanks!
For me, still no activity I can see when Fences 4.10.06 configuration is launched. I'm on Windows 11 Home 22H2 Build 22621.1344. Here's my updated debug zip: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Quj1tIPTzWfqzet3SJz9ppSDCvuSKLun/view?usp=sharing

Finally found some time to look at this again. 1) Checked CVS history on one file and CVS diff on another - worked fine. 2) Re-downloaded the Fences beta to ensure I had the latest one. 3) Installed the Fences beta, restarted, and waited for all my usual apps to completely load. 4) Right-clicked on my desktop, then clicked View/Configure Fences. Waited - no activity. 5) Checked Task Manager - no sign of "Fences Settings" 6) Tried View/Configu
So you are unwilling to test that, Steve?
Too behind on my real work today. Perhaps in the morning.
Again, the Fences UI takes longer to appear than we would like but this is my test on Windows 11 Preview: https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/2023-02-23_11-17-37.mp4 Note that 'Fences Settings' appears in Task Manager. Is it for you?
It didn't load at all in Windows 11. It's too late for me to see if "Fences Settings" appears in Task Manager, as I've already rolled back.
That is nearly unfathomable that Fences would cause an issue with that.
Well, this beta was the only thing I installed since my last successful CVS usage, and after going back to the stable version of Fences, CVS worked again.
Also, I had to roll back to the last stable version of Fences on Windows 11 as apparently it was interfering with port 2402 which my CVS setup was using. When I did a diff on a file, CVS crashed, suggesting it couldn't access this port. After rolling back to Fences 4.7.0.2, all was fine.
But fences' interface doesn't open at all with this version. Fences works but no config possible.
I'm seeing the same issue with Windows 11 Home 22H2 Build 22621.1343. The config loads on Windows 10 Home 22H2 Build 19045.2673 however, albeit a lot slower than expected (~10 seconds).
Do you have computers with mixed dpi monitors?
I have a dedicated external monitor for the Windows 11 laptop. No other app I use has demonstrated a similar issue.
It may be worth uninstalling Start11, rebooting and then reinstalling the latest version of Start11 just in case files were not replaced correctly. Like in previous versions, there is a couple minor issues in v1.39 when doing a search in the Start11 Windows 10 style or Windows 11 style start menu. These don't occur with the regular start menu (Start11's start menu turned off). <a style="color: #014b8a; text-decoration-line: none; border-bottom: 1px dotted transparent; position: relative;" href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YuBlMOmwe3NXR9LIbScIMdYFD7jdIoa
