Actually, it has a simple easy solution, just create a Fences and set Fences rule to send all new icons on the desktop to go there and place that Fence on your second monitor or any monitor you like. Downloads to desktop go to the second monitor in Fences Stardock Forums

I'd like for downloads to be placed on my main monitor, instead of the secondary monitor. This looks like a bug to me, because the files appear halfway down the monitor, and slightly off the side of the screen rather than on the Windows Desktop grid. Does anyone know if the devs are aware of this problem with multiple monitors? Do you think it will get fixed?

Thanks. I'm only really interested in three apps, and don't want to have to install more software than is necessary in order to solve my problems with Windows 10 - some of the other apps are nice, but ultimately superfluous. So with Object Desktop, access to all updates ceases as soon as the subscription lapses. With the individual apps, you have access to incremental updates until a new version is released. Thanks for clarifying.

One thing I still don't understand, although I've read the FAQs... It appears that with the individual, one-off-payment licenses, I am allowed to download incremental updates (necessary in case a Windows update breaks something). But if I allow my Object Desktop subscription to lapse, then I cannot access the future incremental updates for the versions of the apps that I have? Thanks for clarifying.

Thanks for your reply. I was trying to avoid having to install stuff unnecessarily on my nice clean installation, but never mind. :) For other potential users of ShadowFX: I tried ShadowFX out and it does exactly what I hoped: blur 0% | Transparency 0% | 3px on all sides | blue colour gives a high visibility border around all windows and programs. Bonus - unfocused windows/programs can have a different colour and less prominent border! Exc

Thanks. Although I'm surprised that the question hasn't come up before. I'm guessing that 'Object Desktop' is a download and license-key manager for the standalone apps. So that I just keep the trials installed, and apply the license key(s) which Object Desktop gives me after purchase?

I've just moved from Win7 to Win10 a few weeks ago, and of course hate many, many things. One of those things is the lack of window/program borders. A few questions: 1] Could I use Stardock's 'Shadow FX' to create a 5px thick, opaque, border-like shadow around all my windows and programs? 2] After choosing a shadow in Shadow FX or a theme in WindowBlinds, would the program actually stay loaded all the time? Or can the shadows/themes be displayed without ShadowFX/W

Ah, OK. I thought it must be something like that. I've had no recent applications display in the lower part though, which is why I was a bit confused. I don't really want to see recent applications in the start menu, so I'm not going to troubleshoot why they're not displaying. Seems like a bug though!?

I haven't seen this request, but I don't think I'll be buying Fences without it! Objects with long filenames are ugly and confusing when displayed below a large icon on the Desktop (and currently in Fences). Fences is a great opportunity to solve this problem, but it has not done so.
