Hi Sean, Thanks for you reply, What you suggested is exactly what I did and after that I did the purge action asadvised before. Nex step was updating Windows 10 to Windows 11 which crashed at 35% indicating that Start 10 should be the problem. So I did a seach i the registry, no "Start10" found. checked with control panel - same result. did another try and W11 stopped at 35% with the message: "StartIsBack++" cases the problem but that also is not found

Hi, thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately it did not help, I got a lot of errors telling mem "service not found and then the question "dele start8/10 which i answered"YES" then I haf the reboot message which i did, after start-up I started windows update to 11 which failed telling me that Start10 was the problem.

Dear Stardockers On a friend's PC I purchased and installed Start 10 (years ago). Recently a family member deleted all the Start 10 folders (unfortunately). Since the system was getting old and slow, I hardware converted the system and started the update to Windows 11.
