They should run normal, there was no UAC prompt (unless Microsoft suppress this when VS is launched from taskbar which I doubt) and I didn't launched them evelated myself.. Have you actually tried to reproduce this? There is 30 days trial for VS, I gave you a step by step. I think if you would take a look on it yourself its better than waiting for me to reply as you can get all desired information yourself.
Developers say they dont want to mess up with application hotkeys which is reasonable. Some applications already use CTRl+T for something. To achieve your purpose just use WIN+E (and auto group explorer). The reason why other software supports CTRL+T is that they only embedded windows explorer while groupy works with all applications. Perhaps developers of groupy will make a "Windows explorer" only group which then supports these hotkeys. I believe that many people are only in
Yes they have the same path according process explorer but they are not grouped: I don't know how exactly your grouping works but I would guess the VS started from a project file in windows explorer works different than starting VS from shortcut. And I would assume the OP has experienced the same problem so perhaps you are able to reproduce and analyze it.
When trying to click on the close icon of an inactive tab it just makes the tab become active. Which means you can only close the active tab.
It does not work. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create auto group for VS 2017 2. Start VS 2017 via desktop / start menu icon 3. Double click on an SLN project file in windows explorer The important step is that one VS instance is started via shortcut and the other is started by opening a visual studio project file from windows explorer. Then the grouping will fail.
- An application is set to auto groups all instances of it. - Start two instances -> they are grouped - Drag and drop one instance window away to ungroup it so you have two separate windows now - Start a third instance, all three instances are grouped now. The bug is that I expect the window I dragged away to stay where it is and ONLY force new instances to auto group.
Add option to pin tabs and prevent them from closing in two ways: - Hide the X tab close button - Disable CTRL+W (default windows hotkey to close an explorer window for example) It should have the same behavior as in Chrome or Firefox. However pressing the X button at the top right allows to close that window. This way we can press and hold CTRL+W to close all tabs except for pinned tabs.
Hi, I'm surprised that CTRL+Tab is not supported, at least it doesn't work for me. I'm trying out the 1.0 in Windows 10 64bit virtual machine with only Explorer tabs. This hotkey is common to switch through tabs. Bug: - Make a tab group of windows explorer and make it any size like 1024x768 - Start a windows 10 file copy dialog - Drag and drop the file copy dialog onto the windows explorer tab group - The tab grou
