Thank you for this. Seems to work at least on one of my PCs and with the Fences 6 trial. Will let you know if for any reason does not work on other Fences versions / PCs but I assume it will. I had black backgrounds on prior PCs running windows 10 with Fences 4 and peek worked fine, not sure if this is a change in Fences or Windows - but seems there is a workaround. Thanks!

I have taken a video. First few desktop folder / shortcut opens are regular, then i enlarge a window and use peek for two folder opens and then to open chrome. let me know if anythings is not clear from the video. Video Project.mp4
Sorry for the delays in responding, been busy with work. Tried this - still seems the same on Fences 6 trial version.
Tried the procedures on both my home PC and work PC - both seem to still have the lag on opening items from peek after following the instructions above. Just tried right now and 43 seconds to open a folder on desktop w/peek (many times it is more like 5-10 seconds though) vs practically instant w/o using peek. I had just upgraded to 5 to make sure compatible during my PC upgrades to win 11. I used to use peek all the time for my workflow w/Win 10 / Fences 4 and was great, not sure
Running 5.89 and is peek is extremely laggy. 2-3 seconds to display and like 10-15 seconds before clicked item opens (gets a spinning wheel in between). I used to use all the time at work for efficiency but no longer can use this method. Does the peak work any differently in 6? Just upgraded from 4 to 5 recently when i upgraded to windows 11 but maybe ill try 6 if it works any differently.
