Thanks AzDude , if that is the case, I would like to make a suggestion that a "Revert to defaults" option be added to the settings . I find it useful when applications have that option, as I'm usually messing around with settings so much that it's nice to easily go back to the default state (without a fresh install). Thanks for your consideration.

I have been playing around with the various settings in Groupy, seeing what everything does. Is there a easier way to revert to the software defaults without uninstalling and reinstalling? Is there a file containing the options set? Thanks for any help :)
I must have missed the "Use whole window for group target..." option. Thanks for that tip, that might be what I am looking for - I will check it out. Much appreciated!
Thanks for checking into this basj - I watched your video a few times to make sure I am seeing the same thing on my computer. When you come from above a window, the very first area/region of the window - where Groupy's tabs are located, in that row - that is where I initially thought the mouse pointer needed to be to group tabs. I took a screenshot of your video to clarify my question, and suggestion: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/67/68/6768562/9df3
I just started using Groupy and I love it! Instinctively for me, I was trying to drag one tab of a window to the tabs "area" of another group of windows, and Groupy would not add it to the group. Is this working as intended? -- so, grouping will occur in the title bar and the Windows tab regions, but not on the tabs that Groupy has created? <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/67/68/6768562/8c7e808f-3a86-42ef-9824-89e2698262d0.png" alt="group

Update: Sadly, blocking firewall outbound rules related to an application are usually easier done with other programs than the trouble I've had blocking Fences for some reason. At exactly 3:45am MST every day (yes, I work/play evenings and sleep in the day), the Stardock Fences notification pops up letting me know that there is an update (which I am not interested in updating to the latest version). I have closed it, and also selected "remind me later" which doesn't seem to di
I will re-install 3.03, as the lag/delay is almost unbearable in 3.05 right now (note: why Stardock will not allow customers to access an archive of older versions of software is very disappointing) , then I will block the outbound rule from fences.exe through the windows firewall so it will stop nagging me that an update is available (until that option is hopefully implemented) . Stardock (Fences) To Do List :<
/agree i would very much appreciate an option whether to check for automatic updates or not , as it will often interrupt me while playing an online game. i have since blocked the outbound rule from fences.exe through the windows firewall until such an option is implemented. thanks for listening to your customers.
Update: the situation is worse than it was before, for a couple of reasons. And no, I run a pretty lean computer with very reasonable hardware. I've had nothing except for this slow things down considerably - and that's using photo/design and 3D software, modern games on higher end qualities across the board. It's surprising to see 'Fences' be my computer's greatest nemesis! ;) Here's more about my situation: <a href="../../../482728/page/2/#3691025
thanks very much klausrieger, i managed to find a 3.03 version of fences. i must say, this is very disappointing that a company will not allow customers to comb through older versions of their software - i can think of numerous companies where i can go onto their website and download a previous version, or go the other way and try an alpha or beta version if i was so inclined. then on top of going back to 3.03, i had the pleasure of stardock reminding me that i was using an older vers
Being new to the Stardock family... how can I access the previous versions of your software? In "My Downloads" my individual downloads are the latest versions ONLY ! Where can I find previous versions on the website?! The only one I have available to me is 3.05. I am hoping to try 3.03 and other older builds if necessary, in hopes of having it be a bit more responsive. Surely there must be a section of

Zubaz, I executed those two files you provided one at a time, then restarted Fences... I noticed the difference after trying the unregister (so not after just the first: disable). After unregistered & disabling, then re-enabling, I noticed immediately that the massive lag I have had lately went away. Instantly everything was much more responsive, however after a couple of hours of adding files to my desktop and moving things around Fences, the lag was back -
This is definitely disappointing to hear. I'm new to using Fences (honestly, I can't believe I never used it earlier!) and have it now working nicely on my Windows 8.1 x64 computer. I was finally going to update to Windows 10 as I will be purchasing a new SSD – so this news is disappointing. Hopefully the issues will get worked out soon enough. There is something about responsiveness; navigating your desktop with an instant/precise feel...
Thanks for the helpful responses. I'll check out some of the older versions at that link - too bad Stardock doesn't let customers access older versions. [e digicons]:'([/e] I did a system restore from a few months ago, and now things seem to be quite a bit more zippy. There is just the slightest delay when double-clicking a folder/shortcut to open it now - barely noticeable. It's great to have fences much more responsive for me now - such as useful utility!
Hello, Brand new customer to Stardock. I had tried the trial of Fences a long time ago (I believe it was version 1 or 2), and I was quite impressed. Since then I have seen numerous friends and co-workers using Fences as I lingered over their shoulders... amazed at how incredibly useful Fences was in their everyday routine. After seeing how simple and effective everything was - and nothing seemed to suffer as a consequence of using a utility for organizing the desktop (and so much
