The Steam version of Curtains is still V1.01! Will it ever get updated?

I regret having bought Curtains via Steam for various reasons. Is it possible to change my Curtains license from Steam to Stardock direct download? Of course I would pay for the difference in the price.

When does V1.1 come to Steam? I've checked right now and it's still V1.01.

Today I have purchased curtains on steam. Is it possible to register it for my Stardock account? I'm asking because one major letdown is that always when I want to run curtains it starts the steam client first, which takes some time, especially if there's yet another steam client update. So I'd rather like to have this product as a standalone installation as with all of my other Stardock products I've purchased in the past.
