I didn't think the taskbar was controlled by Blinds. I'm running the Echo style which I believe is a built in one, not a 3rd party package.
So, that's it? That's the solution? Am I the only one experiencing this issue?
Yes, I sleep my computer when not in use and only reboot when necessary. Restarting the shell (Explorer) does resolve the problem. I don't feel like restarting the shell is something I should have to do daily if everything else is working correctly.
Team, I'm running both Start 11v2 and Window Blinds on my Windows 11 install. The task bar is not updating properly. For example it's showing icons for several programs I've closed as well as the clock showing yesterdays time. It works after a fresh reboot but over time will stop updating/refreshing/animating properly. I'm suspecting there might be an incompatibility issue with the X-Box Game Bar as it seems to happen either during or right after playing a game that has that feature.
If I purchase a copy of Window Blinds or other software during the Summer Sale, can I use that to extend out my current licenses another full year?
Thank you for the excellent recommendation. I'd been using Windowblinds for almost a decade and it's nice to see I have an alternative. It seems Stardock is more interested in game development at this point than supporting their desktop suite, which is a shame. I really love Start10 and will be looking into the WinStep version of that as well.
It's been 4 months now and not a single hard response from the Stardock team on a possible solution to this issue. Epic also seems reluctant to do anything about it. Given it's a specific application causing the issue, I would think the burden of resolution falls to that apps developer. Stardock, are you doing anything to correct this issue?
Hi Gang, Just installed Object Desktop and I'm loving it by and large with one minor problem. I can't seem to get any of the themes I've applied to skin the menus in Windows Explorer. File, Home, Share, View are plain and not taking the button skinning function Window Blinds normally applies. Am I doing something wrong or missing a setting? - Skip
