After installing Start 11 (I've had versions of this software from the beginning) many of my links stopped working. For instance, suddenly all my links to Windows Office 2007 do not work. The Start program tries to open them with Windows Office 365, and then it Flashes a message that "This App Cant Run on This PC." That seems to have fixed it for me. Today there were no wandering icons, and when I restarted, everything stayed in place. Thanks for the fix. Dan

I agree fully with better documentation. I have a second computer that only runs a video camera. And it has Fences 3 on it. Seems to work just fine, although I sometimes get an icon hiding between the two monitors. On my main computer, things are now better, but there are still a few wandering icons. Thankfully they automatically get moved into the fence that is set up for all new files. Saves me hunting for them.

Got the new 5.5 Fences, and bugs with it. Yesterday, at three different times, some icons left their Fences and moved into the Fence that is set for new icons. This happened again when I turned on the computer this morning. Does 5.5 support a Fence that collects new icons? I have 8 fences and 176 icons. Thanks. That helped. Now I have located the correct search bar and it nicely says "Search programs and files." Exciting. But how do I get it to search my harddrives other than C:? Thanks in advance for any advice.

The search bar is missing one key component: I cannot limit the search to my computer only. It always wants to search the internet. But I want to limit the search to my computer only... where I have 100s of thousands of files. The Start11s search seems to just be a front for some other search engine. Please give us the control to limit the search to the local computer.

You are right! A reboot does clear it up. Very interesting, because it was filling the new fence with files from two pages, the one before and the one after. (I have three pages). It only used the files that were on the same spot on the other pages. But now it is fixed. Thanks.

As soon as I installed Start 10 v 1.8 I started have trouble with Fences. I use multiple pages of Fences. Now when I create a new fence, it is immediately populated with what ever file was on the other page. So I have to copy them back to the first pages each time. Very frustrating.
