How do I get back to an earlier copy of Start?

Start11

After installing Start 11 (I've had versions of this software from the beginning) many of my links stopped working. For instance, suddenly all my links to Windows Office 2007 do not work. The Start program tries to open them with Windows Office 365, and then it Flashes a message that "This App Cant Run on This PC."  I use Office 365 only online, and do not have it on my computer, and have not paid for it.

Now, however, if I create a shortcut on my desktop to Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, I can open the software and create a new PowerPoint 2007. But I cannot click on the many Powerpoint links on my desktop computer and open the existing files.

So how can I get the Start Program 11 to open Office 2007 files?

I guess I might have to re-install Windows 2007 to get control back. Unfortunately one of my clients insists in communicating with Office 365. It all seemed to work before I installed Start 11.  Can I turn Start 11 back to Start 10?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not sure why it is not working on Start11, it should work the same way as Start10. However moving forward. Please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available to you. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Thank you,

Start11 shouldn't be having any impact on this as it is not even involved with opening files in explorer windows or the desktop.

It sounds like your file associations have been changed by Office365.

If so removing Start11 will make no difference.
