Thanks, basj, this seems to have helped. On the three Win11 systems I'm testing on, all now have readable context menus. Two are black text on white, while one is white text on black. I don't know why they're different, but I can live with it. Is there some interaction with Windows settings that could cause the difference? The Start11 settings appear identical, but I gather that some things are stored in Windows for the Windows 7 and Modern styles. How do

Windows 11 Pro 22H2 22621.2428 Upgraded to v2, using the Windows 7 style. When I call up the start menu and right-click on either a pinned icon or a program in the "All programs" list, the context menu comes up with black text on a black background, i.e., unreadable. If I switch to the Modern style, it comes up ok with white text on a black background. Also upgraded a few Windows 10 systems, and the issue doesn't show up there. The context menu with Windows 7

Any way to do this? Fences already show up in the All Programs list on the start menu, but they are buried amidst dozens of other items. I'd like to customize the quick access shortcuts (right side of the Win7-style start menu) to add them, but I can't find a "custom location" for a Fence to add. All the shortcuts in Fences are located in the Desktop folders. Where does Fences keep the info on what's in a Fence?

Ditto on the request for this feature. There's a lot of grumbling about this problem on the web. I've seen some complex workarounds proposed, as well as indications that Microsoft plans to fix this. So I'm not sure whether to look to Stardock or Microsoft for a fix.

Thanks for the reply but, given the current chaos, I'm going to wait until you guys get the problems sorted out. I also see that the "My Downloads" link points to 3.0.9 now, so I gather you've rolled back the 3.1.x versions. I hope you'll send out an e-mail notification when it's all fixed. The "Fences 3.10 Issue Report Thread" is impossible to follow, as there are several different problems being discussed and I can't match the replies to the problems.

I'm updating several systems to 3.1.0.5. All are Win10 Pro 20H2. All also run Start10. I do not use Wallpaper Engine. The first three went fine. On the fourth, the installation was routine, but after rebooting, none of the fences appeared. Dragging on the desktop does not create a new fence. When I right-click the desktop to bring up the context menu, I don't see the "Configure fences" item at the top. Instead, there's an "Enable Fences" item.

This may be more of a Start10 request, but I don't see a thread over there asking for new features. The big problem I had with Fences initially is that they are usually covered up by program windows and tedious to get to. You provided a nice feature where the fences are on the Start 10 menu under "All Programs". What would make it perfect is to let me right-click the fence menu item and pin it to the start menu like you can with regular start menu items.

My issues are the age-old problems of accessing a fence when it's buried by a multitude of program windows. I have a multi-monitor setup and would like to be able to easily clone a fence so that I can have another copy on a different monitor. Also, using Start10, I often access a fence under All Programs with the Start Menu. But the order of the items within the fence group can't be reordered. My fence is ordered by name, so I wish the items in the start menu were

Never mind, I found it. It was somehow hidden under another (opaque) fence. The wandering fence was located on a secondary monitor, so it may have been moved somehow when I updated my graphics driver last week.

One of my fences has vanished from my desktop. The fence still shows up in the Start Menu with all the items within the fence, so it doesn't look like it was deleted; it's just not showing on the desktop. It's not in any of the recent snapshots, so it must have disappeared more than a few days ago. I can recreate the fence easily enough, but I'd like to be able to either restore the lost fence or fully delete it so it isn't in the start menu any more. I don't see any
