When all else failed, I purchased another license and after a half hour of error codes, the last reboot of the computer made all the Fence groupings re-appear. It asked for my new product key and I'm back in business. I didn't think Fences had an expiration date requiring renewal - ?? but having it since 2010 I could not deal with the hodge-podge of icons that was my desktop without it. Heavy sigh.

I installed Windows updates, and now all my Fences groupings have disappeared. I managed to get the icons to reappear, but none of the Fences groupings they were contained within are there. When I right click on an empty area of the desktop, the screen no longer gives the option to create a new fence. Clicking on "Enable Fences" does nothing.
