Ohmigosh, The Orville tonight was hilarious! It's Season 1, Episode 9, "It's All Your Fault". But you have to watch the very first episode to appreciate it (Season 1, Episode 1).

The Damon thing pi***s me off. I'm not nearly as pessimistic about Google's financial future, but it's because I'm pessimistic about humanity in general. I know of a mutual fund that follows the stocks in Congress' retirement plans, and mirrors that. I have to admit, it makes sense. Socially responsible? Not so much. But in terms of pure numbers going up, it seems a viable strategy to me. It's the sort of thing I would do in a heartbeat if it were ju
Tonight's Discovery was very good. Plus they have a live After Trek talk show.
I take it as just another of many documentation bugs. You get 5 for the admin, 4 more when he retires; and that's how the game is.
I did find it cheesy, but not out of the ordinary, that the world just happened to be like 21st century Earth, with exactly the same fashion, the same cars, driving on the same asphalt roads, and they all just happen to have standard-issue cell phones that capture video. The only difference is that they wear their Facebook likes on their chests. Wow, what are the odds? They have 21st-century technology, yet are completely oblivious to the extraterrestrial life or
You have an expectation of professionalism on The Orville? I expect them to be about as professional as Michael Scott on The Office.
ST:D is still good, IMO, but this week was like a cheesy "Groundhog Day meets Star Trek". The Orville could have had a heyday with that concept.
I've been playing godlike, although lately I think i'm done. If, by fighters, you mean just a fleet of tiny and small ships, then yes.
MSB's on fighters would rock. Although to be honest, by the time I research carriers, I've got my fleets in order and I have never really needed MSB's then.
I used military starbases to take out the Drengin on Milky Way map (which is ludicrous). They were practically useless the rest of the game, but boy, did they serve their purpose at the time. The way (and timing) that I put down military SB's, I see to it that every one sees at least one combat--and many times, that is all that's needed.
The Orville tonight was really good (episode 6).
Cussing people out and harassment may be bad sportsmanship, but does not require the same level of attention from the hosting service as when potentially illegal RL activity is involving their chat channels.
Big difference between that and a death threat. Don't be the boy who cried wolf.
Even better, you're in NE Tennessee. An amazing part of the country. Time to go white watering the Ocoee! Or even better, it's about that time of year to run the New River. I think early November is when they open the dams up.
They already announced ST:D is a go for a second season.
Saving the planet shouldn't even be a necessary selling point. EV's have a faster zero-to-60 than gas guzzlers. You can stick an inverter on the batteries and power the house with it.
You liking the Volt? I got offered a decent deal on an older model a couple years back. Now that would be a fun spare-time activity: working on EV's. And finding creative uses for aged LiIon batteries. I wish I had known about that BC crisis hotline after Game 5 of the NLCS. I needed it.
5 apart. But it's usually the economics where you run into that, and the range-extending techs (and Arceans) really help a lot.
Admins can be expensive, but when I choose admins for citizens and then promote them, I don't find the 1 admin point too bad. You certainly don't spam military SB's. I only use them vs. militarily stronger opponents. I actually use military SB's offensively, at first. I send in a fleet to the other guy, and take along a constructor. It helps out take out the orbiting ships, among everything else. Invade the system. You're then left with a well-def
it wasn't a holo meeting. they met face to face somewhere off the ship
Well they met face to face quite literally this last episode.
You got the replay, so I believe you, and having had a similar threat done to me on another internet venue, I agree these should be taken seriously. RL death threats need to be serious TOS violations, pure and simple.
For the price of a constructor and a few hundred BC, you can substantially boost your fleet, for a lot less than what it would cost to outfit your ships. I tend to use them when I am militarily outmatched. If you prevent just one small hulled warship from dying--that costs, what--120 ship production and maybe 1 elerium?--you more than make up the cost. And you have nothing to show for a dead ship. With a military SB, it's always there. You can keep it, decommissi
Discovery was particularly good this week. It ties in to the original ST. Funny thing is, I'm still on my original trial membership. Haven't paid a dime.
