N-thed. Come on Brad, you know you want to do it. :D

With the TA beta you can use Ctrl-PrintScreen to save screenshots in (...Something...)\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor\ScreenShots\. Without it you can always press PrintScreen and then paste the image into an Imaging program of your choice.
Yep, the mantra is easy actually: Mega Events are meant to be overpowered. Mega Events are meant to be overpowered. Mega Events are meant to be overpowered. They are meant to scare the sh*t out of you and make you struggle for at least one game year, possibly more. Once you understand this, you'll notice that several of them are too easy to overcome actually. ;) That said, I agree that a warning popup wouldn't hurt, and maybe deactivat
Lord KiRon, 1. I'm pretty sure Impulse will just be a new program for the same server data (on an abstract level). 2. Stardock Central doesn't need regular internet connection, so I don't think Impulse will. 3. As pointed out, subscriptions aren't mandatory. If you don't want/need extra content, you don't have to subscribe. 4. Up to now, games on SDC weren't prone to "I'm better because I bought more" players. ;)
And unlike him, I have no problem publishing the link.
If that's it, then it's not impressive. :p
When I click on the player's name and chose View players's profile, I'm transferred to User profile page. If I click there on the Metaverse Profile of that user, MY profile is displayed instead of his. IE-6 and FF.
Unless I'm mistaken that's the very issue described above by Mumblefratz (and possibly others). Same issue using Opera, by the way.
keep improving that AI til my sorry ass is forced to play on Normal or below.
Indeed!
1/ will it be possible to have greater than 12 players in games thereby allowing someone to play as a custom race and have all 12 pre-existing races in game???
Unless I'm mistaken the maximum number of enemies is nine (except minors) and will stay this way.
Are you sure your serial doesn't work? As far as I know you should be able to register serials from all game versions in Stardock Central. For other help you might have to wait until Stardock's next business day on Monday though. ;)
Yes, surrendering is weird at times, more often than not if you ask me. That's why I deactivate it 90% of the time, thank god this option was added!
A range problem, maybe? Do all ships in the fleet have range modules? If you try to move a ship or fleet further than they have range, they won't do it and a popup telling so should come up.
kryo says:
Set server to US-1, Show prerelease, Refresh XML, restart SDC.
There's a report that crystals can be hidden by stars (and possibly other map items).
"Show pre-release versions" is checked for you, right?
Well, it's their way of copy protection. I've had my occasional gripes with the system, but it's okay overall.
I can do early year one...Still working on year zero.
A year zero victory in Gigantic All Abundant? :SURPRISED: Is it even possible to move fast enough across the map? I guess you'd need to start right in the middle and emphasize engines. Year Zero sounds interesting though, I think I'll try it one of these days.
Which Stardock server are you using? (Tools -> Settings -> Internet) I could download it from 'US-1'.
...is out now!
the new update is out check sdc
You're right, there's a 0.97.001! :CONGRAT:
So is there going to be a release today? Pretty please? :d We all know the AI won't be perfect yet, but it feels like the beta testers/players are left behind a little right now.
About time! Let's see if some offerings will convince Cari to release the next TA beta today! Come on, you know you can do it! ;) *bows to the ground*
Rock-Paper-Scissors is the prime example for a perfectly balanced situation, and as such it is the anti-example for an imba(lance). It is more difficult to create a balanced game the more factions you have and the more different they are from each other. In GC2 you have, well, a lot of races now and there are going to be a lot of differences, read: it will be almost impossible to balance them out without sacrificing their diversity - and the latter won't happen because it was the target
Unless my memory fails me, standard GC2 was relatively balanced. Some races were slightly better than others due to the race specific bonuses, but it wasn't a clear thing. The first real imbalances were introduced with the super abilities of Dark Avatar, and now they will most likely be increased with the individual tech trees. I guess that there won't be a clear winner that will be played in 90% of the difficult Metaverse submission games (at least I hope so), but there may well be a few which
Good news, thanks!
That will apparently not be coming back. It was decided that automatically shooting you to the end of a thread that you've read before (regardless if you'd read only the first page, or fifty) was too confusing to newbies. As with most other forums, there will just be an on-index pagination link for those who want to start on the last page.
Does that mean that there will be a way to go right to the last page/posting of a thread from the forums/subforums index?
