Thanks for the help! Dan

I needed 7.3 b 310 for a new skin. The only way I found it was to get the demo version. GameSpot wouldn't update further than b 309... Can I get my software key into this demo version? Dan
i don't think it works that way there is no difference in a wba for xp or wba for vista
If there is no difference, then why are there different styles named xxxXP and xxxVista? And why do [at least] three Vista styles not work [systray empty in single row] in my XP system? TS
I found the problem to be WB allows the selection of Vista (only) styles to be selected on an XP system. The new interface is less obvious about the styles available. Overall I like the new interface. Dan
I had a problem where the systray icons didn't display in a single row. I later determined that the skin defaulted to a Vista style when enabled. Shouldn't WB be smart enough as to allow only the selection of styles which will work with the current OS? here is the debug info: WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 7.0 (build 75 x86) WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins. Windowblinds version = 7 build 75 x86. When I have the taskbar/systray size set to one row tall, the icons in the systray are invisible. This has happened with three diferent skins. Rebooting does not clear the problem. This has occurred since the last update came out. I'm running an fully updated WinXP SP3. Dan Screenshot:
You sent in multiple emails for multiple problems to a company that gets tons upon tons of emails in a day (how much I am not sure but I bet it is a lot). 4 different emails for 4 different problems seems like a huge mess to me and I for one do not blame them at all for combining that. Well...like I said I have been in this business for a while and one bug per bug report is pretty much the standard in this industry. Many bug tracking software system
I have had many issues with Stardock Support not replying to my emails. It has pissed me off and I have vented in here before. I decided after the last fiasco in this forum, to resubmit my problems via email and see if conditions were any better. I am only intending to discuss what I see as communication problems here; this thread is not about the specific problems. On Feb 23, 25, 27 & 28 I emailed support with 4 unique problems (all for OD+.) The emails I sent on the 27th and 28th did
...I can add a registry switch to enable ...I cannot promise it will go up today though. Well there's an enabler for getting me to extend OD or buy WB5... Dan Dunn
You entered a RGB colour. WB took this and converted into HSL form. Then WB took the Hue part and used that to colour the skin. OK, I understand what your trying to convey. Now please try to understand what I'm trying to say. Having access to those RGB values allowed me to use those values with other programs to achieve a matching set. You are removing this simplicity and compatibility with your change. The ironic part is it probably took some
Dan Dunn: You seem to have misunderstood my post. All versions of WB5 have only used the hue. Which means you have 100% of what you previously had. Well, I changed my skin earlier this week (before the latest update of WB.) I remember opening VAD_M's SD Desktop Navigator, reading the rgb values from my new wallpaper and then poking those three values into the color control panel from the previous (before yesterday's update) version of wb. I also rememb
Using a combination of Hue, Saturation and Gamma, I find I have all the colours available to me... Saturation is also available on the Custom Color Selector (CCS). And it is very possible that your color depth is such that a choice of 46K colors (closest higher power of two is 64K or 16bit color) would be all that is available to you. I have available 24 bits (and more) which allows me the previously mentioned minimum of 16.8M co
the colouring system only uses the hue value. Of which there are only 360 possible values. OK, thats a little better. 16.8M / 360 = 46,666 color jumps; or .277% of what was previously available. But it's still less than 1%. Dan Dunn
Don't forget to add the gamma adjustments. That should mutiply your amount by quite a bit. Isn't gamma correction used to settle differences in color hardware? I realize that this slider extends the colors available. However when attempting to have a desktop where everything matches, your hue/gamma slider is like apples and oranges, to the Windows Custom Color Selector. When the controls match I can type those 3 3-character RGB values very quick
I made a mistake in the percentages. What is available in the new range is only .038 percent of what was available in the last release. This is a HUGE difference don't you think? Sorry for dropping my decimal places... Dan Dunn
and the idea is that the exact numbers are useless I disagree. Having access to the rgb values allows an exact color, so different items can be EXACTLY the same; not just close. Isn't that why you offer a product called Theme Manager? Custom color support is built into WinXP and Win2K isn't it? And this function was working in the first 5.5 release (and every previous release.) I believe the artsy type folks are going to miss that featu
Running WB -v5.5. Prior to WB 5.5 custom color control allowed EXACT color selection by allowing the individual red, green and blue values to be set. After 5.5 you only have a hue slider, which is very difficult to get an exact color. A professional product needs finer detail than now currently enable with -v5.5. If this is not an oversight; then it is a downgrade. Dan Dunn
Aw, poor fella. Playing the victim isn't going to get you anywhere, either. I'm not looking for any sympathy; I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of Jafo (a manager at stardock I'm told) Dan Dunn
Personal attack upon your fellow site member is neither 'endured' nor endorsed Unless the attacked person has something negative to say about stardock; then you can call them a liar, a thief and a fool with impunity. see: https://forums.stardock.com/?forumid=166&aid=144365 and https://forums.stardock.com/?forumid=166&aid=144620
I'm really disappointed with Stardock service!! No need to repeat that as it doesn't solve anything. Even a statement as mild as this is stomped on by the stardock fanboys. I guess negative feedback is totally ignored here, except to persecute the bearer of such feedback. Yes, there were 3 or 4 comments posted AFTER the thread was locked. That is a minor cache issue. The reason any such comment is removed once a lock is inplace is to protect the individual rights of ALL parties. Allowing someone to take a parting jibe at another's expense, without capacity to reply is not acceptable, hence their removal. It would seem that the cosmos is aligned badly for the stardock forum, TarkusShakti and myself. I attempted at least 4 times to login. I keep getting set to a page with only this written: "object moved here (and the word "here" was a link) or I would get a login failed message. I use roboform for entering my username and password so there weren't any typos....And I was able to immediately login as another user. Very Curious! 'Fanboy' in this context is an open
If stardock is such a great company and such nice ppl, why don't they answer their email at support@stardock.com? Take my experience and the experiences of TarkusShakti and it doesn't look like they answer some emails. What excuse is there for not replying to emails? jafo doesn't like the label "fanboy." The Wikipedia defines fanboy as: Fanboy or fanboi is a term used to describe an individual (usually male, though the feminine version fangirl may be used for females) who is ut
And perhaps you can justify this remark? Sounds like you are a regular visitor to file sharing networks and the only reason you could be doing that is to download unlicensed software. OK, I've covered this before but I'll cover it again: In evaluating my resubscribing to OD I decided to use a mild threat to attempt to garner some co-operation from stardock support. I had done the search on google for "stardock torrents." As I indicated earlier
