I have a small at home business network of 4PCs (2xWin10; 1xWin10Notebook; & 1-Win7) and would like to acquire and install the full Object Desktop (and all components). The Windows-7 PC is needed for older software not upgradeable to new Windows versions. I assume I cannot install any of the several programs included with Object Desktop. Does anyone have experience with this situation? Thank you, Otto

thank you for taking the time to reply. So apparently the statement that the "last three days" will be kept only applies to automated layout saves? I will try out a period of time to see what happens. Still, the three-day limit is still not realistic. Things happen on my PCs while I am gone, caused by Windows software and, as mentioned in several posts, surprises in Fences and icon placements by unknown spirits. Thank you VERY much! It's a miracle... and/or it WAS easy, as you stated. I did search the forum before reaching frustration, but could not find the solution you provided. Perhaps StarDoc developers will include this simple restore instruction for 'newbies' who fear change like I do. In any case this forum thread will help any who follow. Thanks again and now my other post on uninstall is not complete becomes immaterial.

Due to an installation problem (re: unwanted choices for icon locations upon installation I uninstalled FENCES and restored my icons to where I wanted them. I then re-installed FENCES, but this time I was NOT going to allow FENCES to select default icon locations for me, but INSTEAD I wanted to select the options (supposedly for 'advanced' users) and then create the 'fences' and locate the icons in the locations I want them. When installing fences, it provides choice for letting Fences organize the desktop (suggested and specifies EASY TO UNDO ) or do it myself (for advanced). I did not like how Fences organized my dozens of icons (yes many icons, which is why I thought Fences would be a good idea to help with grouping them).
