I tried twice and set the default theme a few times changing back and forth from the default and windows8 theme but nothing would work

Please help! I downloaded WindowBlinds after looking around and when I turned it on I chose a theme and thought I didn't like it, so I reverted to default theme, but it wasn't working. I restarted my laptop and it was gone (For what I thought) I uninstalled WindowBlinds, but after I uninstalled I saw something quite strange. There was gray everywhere I couldn't find a way to remove it. (While WindowBlinds was off my computer ENTIRELY) I reinstalled WindowBlinds and uninstall
