@Draver What I expect has happened is that because the survey module was added to an existing ship rather than fitted at a shipyard, there was no citizen on board. It worked perfectly well in deep space, but once it arrived at a planet, ANY planet, it tried to add the missing citizen. If this is the cause, then the ship would have been stuck, even at a core world, if there was not a spare citizen available to allocate to the ship.<br

Tried sending a colony ship but that didn't work. Can't refit in orbit. Can't turn into a core world. Can't select a ship in orbit so can't move it with any console commands. This seems like a basic game design problem. It never made sense to me that the only way to refit a ship is in open space rather than at a space dock or in orbit. That you can add a survey module to a ship in space that results in that ship being trapped forever if you make

I have a Dreadnought that I obtained early on in the game, I think it was an enforcer unit? Anyway, after I developed the appropriate technology I refitted it and parked it at a colony planet. Now it is stuck there. Other ships go in and out of orbit, just this one is stuck.

I played SOSE from the earliest days but I can't get into SOSE2. Is there a manual or tutorial available because I can't figure out how to do pretty much anything that was intuitive to me in SOSE? Just decided to give it another try but gave up again when it took me 15 minutes to figure out that I had to do planetary research before I could build an orbital research station and how I could go about actually doing planetary research.

The next turn button is not selectable. There may be some hidden action I need to do, but I can't find it. I was able to progress for awhile by saving, exiting, reloading but now I can't save either.

When I click on the map to drag it around, sometimes it selects the Colonisation Minister instead and sucks him out of his assigned slot in the citizen menu and he gets stuck on the map. He gets stuck there until I open the citizen menu and select a different option to ministers. He then jumps back into his slot when I reselect ministers.
I had a fleet battle with weird result. I had a huge, and large ship. My opponent was a medium Minot ship. The battle computer said that I would win with no casualities. Their ship took no damage, and my two ships took half damage. I restarted and killed it with ranged missles.
I had a game where this was a regular occurrence. Predicted result was no damage to me, total loss for them. I had more and

I have a bunch of icons that appear on the upper left of the screen, mostly orange in colour. If I hover over one it will say something like "Upgraded Lasers" Clicking on them tells me a bit more like a description and something to do like 'Research the "Spectrum Amplification" technology' with a blue circle on the left and a blue arrow pointing down into a circle on the right. Clicking either does nothing though hovering over the blue downward arrow gives me a useless
This is just my 2 cents on the project and Derek has the last word on it. I love the ship design features. But I *personally* feel like the time that was spent on that feature in GC3 would have been better spent on features in the game. I should have a choice as to what to do with captured populations. Do I want to integrate them into my society, slow and hard. Use them as slave labour. Eat them for dinner. With regard to piracy raids, an attack on Yor with Drengin ships by an integrated Drengin crew should be far more convincing than using my own race to crew the ships. There should be "rumours". If I am integrating Drengin on one planet and eating them on another, the integrated Dren

I should be able to "mine" my decommissioned ships for a percentage of the resources that went into their construction. Being able to mine space battlefields for a (smaller) percentage of the destroyed ship resources also makes sense. Privateers to raid enemy ships and planets would be good, though there should be a risk of being caught out, if I do a raid and lose. Spies in my territory can uncover my nefarious actions etc. I should be able to say capture a fleet of Drengin s
Item #1 for my wish list: Please make the ship designer easier to use. These kind of games come to a dead stop if you can't build upgraded ships - it's a critical game function. And I always find the ship designer's in 4x games to be very 'non intuitive'.
I have to agree with Jodet3359. I found using the ship designer about as muc
Hint: Don't ever auto-resolve an invasion. Place your legions yourself and put them all on the same hex, preferably the one closest to the colony capitol.
Yeah, that's what I do. 5 Legions is generally not enough, often require two or three generals worth to take a major world. In a big galaxy with a number of worlds, that is a lot of waiting.

The surrender change has to be my most disliked change. Originally I thought it was a bug. the problem is that a feature intended as an end game convenience impacts heavily mid game play. I like to play large galaxies with lots of civilizations and scarce resources and planets this seems to result in a galaxy full of dead worlds when I set out into it. If I concentrate on technological advance rather than expansion early on, my old tactic of taking over smaller civilisations a
