Bump. This problem is driving me insane. Sometimes the start bar will take up half the entire screen height!
Windows 7 start menu allows you to right-click "This PC" link and click "Manage" & "Properties" etc. This seems to be missing in start10, unless it's an option I'm not seeing.
bump. this problem still exists and i tried changing the icon to the default icon and it still messes up.
I have an ultra high definition screen. I added a toolbar (aka quicklaunch) to my task bar. When I run applications that change the resolution and then come back to windows, the task bar re-sizes incorrectly. It adds an extra row to my toolbar area. It happens every time, whether the taskbar is locked or not. I disabled start10 and the problem goes away. here are the before and after screenshots http://imgur.com/a/ZWbFJ
