Mine was approved. :D
How will linking functionality between the original Sins games/Trinity and Rebellion work if the former was bought from Stardock/Impulse and the latter is on Steam?
I am wondering this myself.
Thank you. Will check Thursday. Took nearly half of today off to recover from whatever virus I caught at work, and am aiming for up to 12 hours of sleep before work tomorrow. Kimberly, who hates being diseased, and suspects she knows who to blame. ~SDC~
Bugger! Downloaded it twice, but both times it crashed after saying it was making icons. Still lists it as available to download, but why would it crash as it looks like it finishes installing? Will worry about this come Thursday (my weekend). Thanks folks. Kimberly ~SDC~
#42 did the trick for me. Turning off "Prompt to enter an installation directory" solved my problem! Finally able to install, hope to play this in 4 days when my weekend starts! Thank you! Kimberly ~SDC~
Let the aliens transcend, and leave their rich planets sitting there with all improvements, a reduction to the metaverse score, and the ability to continue playing as normal with one less alien race per tech victory. After all, they are still doing their own thing and enjoying your worlds AFTER you achieve a tech victory, and are free to follow you, so let us have the same option. Just notify us when it happens so I can send my transports in to colonize! ~SDC~
I vote selectable, but if an alien race wins, the game continues with their worlds abandoned. You could still get a any victory with a lowered score afterwards, even a tech victory. After all, when you achieve Beyond Human, you can bet the aliens left are still playing their mortal games and enjoying your free improved and empty worlds! Hell, they may follow your path and join you as a transcended being! So let us do the same and follow them if we choose! Game continues with one fewer race
I see it, but will hold off for now. ~SDC~
Mine came in! ~SDC~
LOL I guess posting in SDC's web browser doesn't quite count as posting via SDC! ~SDC~
I would love to see the Drengin eat them, perhaps with a honey, garlic, and brown sugar BBQ sauce!
I noticed that there is a keygen floating around for GalCiv, with people claiming to be able to register with SDC and download the updates so far. How can we protect ourselves from a keygen coming up with our codes? I am not sharing mine, and am encouraging those friends of mine who don't have the game to go to GoGamer and buy it, but I am concerned about someone coming up with my keygen randomly. How can Stardock know the difference between us and them, because IP addresses will differ.
Cari saw my plea for this exact same problem, and emailed me the Excaliber.mdl file. Once I unzipped into the GFX directory, I could finish and use the Excaliber. You might be able to email support and have them send you the same. ~SDC~
Also if it is yellow, the words stay that way until I lower the terms and click enter. Then it kinda resets. This is with the stops at 25% and 75%. :( ~SDC~
*bump* I like this idea. ~SDC~
And Evil gets to meet the Fundamentalists! Burn witch burn! ~SDC~
*bump* Stuck with this issue as well, with later (x.40) patch. Kimberly, who longs for her own Argos/Yamoto with Wave Motion Gun, or a SDF-01 Macross with its main cannon. ~SDC~
Not sure if mentioned in here, but my Excalibers are invisible and won't finish building. They stick at "Next Month". ~SDC~
Still can't use Excalibers. I have invisible icons and pics for them, and they get stuck at finishing "Next Month". ~SDC~
I have traded for a freighter, and then landed it on its homeworld. A relatively nearby world of mine was then declared the origin. I assume the freighter was on its way there, but can't be certain. I traded for the freighter as soon as the Altarians launched it. Kimberly, dreading one more workday before her weekend. ~SDC~
I have the same problem, and it is also my only invisible (no picture) item. Sticks at next month forever until I select anything else. Settleing for an Overlord just isn't the same after hoping for the Excaliber. Kimberly, Swiss Arms Dealer in GalCiv. ~SDC~
So when the value reads NA, am I wrong to kill the route and send another freighter in to restablish it? The new freighter immediately displays value on the route, but I have yet to see a NA turn back into a real value. I had assumed freighters just wear out with use. If I ignore it, it will make revenue again? Kimberly, who hates pausing constructor building to make new freighters. ~SDC~
LOL In my early game I was not researching, just trying to do a landgrab with too many leased colony ships in a scattered and sparse tiny galaxy. When the tech share vote came up, I voted 10 and raped the Yor of their advances! Damn good equilizer back then. When the vote came back up much later, I held a larger majority and simply voted no. Ended up giving them lots of tech later just to keep them from defecting (I disabled Cultural Victory). Never needed a fleet either, just made lots of
If you ever get it, I would love to have a copy! Kimberly schmead@email.com ~SDC~
Try making and selling useless ships. Maybe start with scouts or sensor drones. In my last game (Cakewalk level), the Yor were fighting the Caranoids, and I was selling ships to both sides. I might sell an overlord to one, and 2 AM missiles to another. I started with scouts, then star fighters, then just set 3 planets to big ticket items while using sales to fund my research. Worked great. Research all techs, that is what I did and I transcended one turn later. Kimberly, enlighten
