I have Fences 2, 3, 4 & now 5 (the latest version). I am running it on Windows 10. Since I have just ordered and installed Fences 5, I tried to delete Fences 2. When I select Fences 2 to delete, the next window that opens says I'm REMOVING Fences 5! What gives. These other versions are taking up hard drives space. Jeeze.

How then, does one "purge." I did notice when I did an uninstall (didn't work) there were was a Fences 2 there, also. VERY strange.
Still confused. So, does purge = uninstall? Again, I've never heard that word used with a computer. Propane tank. Yes. Scuba tank, yes. Computer......nope.
What do you mean by "purge?" Uninstall the program? I'm unfamiliar with this term.
There is no popup or indication anything has changed. Only way to know is to open task manager to see if it is enabled or disabled OR when computer is turned back on, desk top does not automatically appear.
Sometimes. I think it is important to note that it will be become disabled during the day when the computer is being used. Last night, before shutting down computer, I checked to see if Fences was disabled....it was. I enabled and shut down computer. This morning I started computer, fences seemed to be working; however, I just checked and it was disabled. I am not sure if it was enabled or disabled when I started computer, just know it was working properly.
I get no message at all. I have learned to look at Start Ups in Task Manger and find both disabled. It has taken me a while to figure that out....I began searching when I would start computer and NOT see desktop. I'd right click......and desktop would appear. After a while I looked at Task Manager and found that both fences had become disabled. Happens all the time. For example, I just checked......Disabled. LOL. I didn't do it.
OS build: 19045.4780 Fences 3.1.6.1
Stardock Fences keeps becoming disabled in Windows 10. This started a few weeks ago. I have never had this problem before.
Every time I start computer, Fences is 'disabled' in startup. I open task manager go to startup and enable them again only to encounter the same problem on a restart.
Every time I check startup in windows 10 task manager, fences (there are two entries) is disabled. Thus, I presume, on startup I have no desktop.
I checked Task Manger and fence was disable. Enabled it...next day upon restart, same problem. Went into Task Manager found it to be disabled again (for some reason there are TWO fences apps in the Task Manager.
Having the same problem. Fences IS enabled in startup. Somehow it appears this is being turned off. Going to try a restart and check.
One of my 3 fences on my desktop has disappeared. The files are still on my desktop (if I used file explorer) however are invisible. I've uninstalled Fences and reinstalled (of course, it immediately remembers two of the three fences and sets up). I have created a new fence and tried to copy the files over to no avail. HELP! Have been using Fences a long time on several computers have never had this problem before. No one seems to be able to fix it.
