Ok Frogboy, I'll pay in advance. Go ahead and write the novel for us. ~SDC~

As a modder I have 575 downloads so far. And I am very curious as to what parts of the world and US they are being enjoyed. I would like a feedback voting type system implemented when possible. If downloaders could give feedback in a dedicated thread from the library interface we could correct problems faster. And besides it would be fun to be able to chat with them more directly. Also a rating system would be good. From great to poor, but also with an option to for "Haven't pl
I just saw in another thread that Frogboy stated they will have another layer in the MODS section for Stardock cirtified mods and all others. Sounds good. ~SDC~
I tried it and bookmarked it. It was down but I will check it aout later. ~SDC~
I have a MOD in development that has difficult - no - free lunch -choices. I will be posting it in the next few days. ~SDC~
Apparently Stardock hasn't been testing them so far. This might change soon as I have informed them of one crashing MOD of mine they posted. Luckily I was able to delete it after only one download. "The Fallen Evangelist" So in the mean time I would write a list of the files that are deposited into your game as mods, so you can delete any of them later if you wish, or have game crashes. The system for modding and such is coming alone very well. But there is plenty of room for improvemen
Very good Bill. It's been a while since I have pullled an all nighter, glad to be of help.

HawaiiFive-O, Very important that you check your e-mail ASAP. 04/19/2003 7:51 AM RustyBlade :) ;) :D LOL :p ;p :d :notsure:
Lets try to keep it G rated guys. Guess I might need to use an alternate pic for the error message after all. Ver 3 of that MOD will have three seperate images. I am just as curious and adventurous as anyone else my friends but I also recognize there are minors on this forum. So guys and gals lets try to not educate them beyond their parents boundries. I'll submit the more family friendly 3 pic version today or tomorrow. :) ~SDC~
I have seen a few post from people that simply couldn't find our mods because Library didn't gell with what they were looking for. I think the problem is we have Encyclopedia on the same grid, and people think that Library = Fan Fiction. This is the case on a lot of sites. Plus the more people that download mods the more people that will get stoked and start modding them selves.
I for one can say the GalCivWriter is shaping up very nicely. I wrote an event mod with it yesterday and it was a fun experience. And like all good designers Bill is always looking for feedback. Between the Stardock staff, programers like Bill, stategist mod tweakers, and artistic type modders, we are developing something quite wonderful. :D
RustyBlade here, I am very glad to share this with you guys and gals. I thought the game could use some color, and a few curves never hurt either. LOL "Library" doesn't suggest Mods so well, since we have Encyclopedia on the Home Page As well. I think people are thinking it is fan fiction or something. Anyhow I lost my internet access at home yesterday so I will be posting and submitting mods at a slower pace. But definitly still doing it. Enjoy my frie
Your very welcome. Enjoy, and by all means experiment. ~SDC~
Actually it turns out that it was that I used a more busy image with more flesh filling the image so the tga didn't really make the differance. Anyhow until or when high color is available the Rad Tools will do all the coverting at the best quality I have found so far. And its not bad. I posted a lengthy post early this morning detailing just how versitile it is. And Bill sent me an event editor to try today. The mod forum is developing as per my expectations. ~SDC~
I am a new WB4 owner running XP Pro. I don't know what this guy is doing differantly but WB4 is much faster with his skin than about a dozen later model skins I have tried. This is most noticable while web browsing. Images and stuff load much faster. There had been a hit, but there I didn't care as everything about WB4 is so cool. Yet I have to say DavidK is on to something that should be shared. I believe this is the link, if not just search for DavidK, then go for his Alien Technology
Yep I recieved it and it unzipped just fine. Will be testing it today if I get a chance. ~SDC~
Npb_equalizer, Just go to the link at the beginning of my large post above and the link to the player-editor RadTools is right there to download. Enjoy. ~SDC~
thank you every one. I will try each of these. DavidK's is wonderful. The thing loads web pages quicker than most WB4 enabled skins too. The smart buttons work as well. Like I said I will tru the others too. But it is going to be hard to beat this baby.
Ok Thrull and others, Here is the not so short and oh so very sweet. So far with all my sifting through several programs I found that the very one I started out with does most everything I was trying to do. Chasing wild geese again. This is also the same program BoogieBac mentioned in his 1st Tutorial. Turns out it is even more useful than some of us thought. The program: Rad Tools Where to get it: http://www.radgametools.com/ Cost: Free. No I'm not stutering again.

Very good analysis Librarian. Now I almost feel like I have played SMAC. I own it but keep putting it off for some reason. Miquv, there is another aspect you might want to take into consideration that a lot of the players haven't cought onto yet. This game is highly multi-media MODable. I agree that the diplomacy feels a little too abstract. But what you look up to are BIK video files. Easily swapped out. My little mods in the "Library" reached from the GalCiv homepage replace
Go to www.galciv.com the click on the "Library" at the top of the screen. ~SDC~
I responded to Ceyan briefly the other day about his desire for playable senerios. And I gave it a little thought. I would be interested in what you guys and gals think about this. I feel senerios could be done with GalCiv; with maybe a little code changing or maybe no code change. And I plan to look into it at a later date. By then someone might already have a senerio builer finished by then. I am not a programer. So I am a novice at this. I would suspect something along
Dacar92, If you get someone on staff at stardock to email me a confirmation you are a registered owner of GalCiv, I would be happy to help. You can reach Stardock at: support@stardock.com I can be reached at: stephen_tacoma_wa@msn.com ~SDC~
